Hello to everyone,recently i’ve seen a lot of posts complaining about sombra and screaming for nerf because these people thinks that now sombra is op but if for you sombra is so op why her pickrate is not so high? her pickrate and winrate is slowly decreasing in fact the sombra pickrate in general was 2,35% and with a winrate of 52% now her pickrate is 1,76% and her winrate is 48% on grandmaster is more high but even on gm her pickrate is decreasing in fact at the start her picrate was 3,93% and her winrate was 57% now her pickrate on gm is 2,76% and her winrate is 56,33% so where is this sombra meta?

I remember people said the same thing about Orisa too when the first OWL pickrates came in and she turned out to be a semi-regular pick there.

I guess because emp bot is gone she’s still high skill cap sombra even though hack is better her gun isn’t super good at getting picks so she’s getting inflated instead up there

I still get comments that Sombra is not a real DPS when I pick her. Very recently I had to swap to a tank when nobody else would do it, despite having gold elims and silver dmg in 1st round.
Boy I can’t wait for this Sombra meta.

It’s mostly from what the pros say. Allegedly they’re all complaining to Blizzard at the moment, and they think she might ruin stage 3.
I dont think her pickrate will really grow too much more unless the pros prove it. She’s a tough hero to learn, and strategies involving her take knowledge.

In the overwatch contenders where they play with the sombra buff she’s been picked but not to much i’ve seen more zen d.va genji winston and lucio comp or orisa spam comp but not to much sombra in the mix so no she’s not a must pick and she’s not op for what i’ve seen lately

The pros aren’t playing on the recent patch yet, and even they hope that current Sombra doesn’t stay the way she is. They are basically all practicing Sombra right now incase she stays unchanged.

Been watching streams of pros where they have touched on it, don’t have any direct source.
I play a lot of Sombra and honestly it feels the same, she still requires communication to be effective and if your team can’t follow up the EMP or hacks you still won’t get anything done.
The only difference is she isn’t seen much of a troll pick anymore.

The contenders scene isn’t the best predictor of the future but it looks like Sombra just replaces the Genji slot in the dive. The problem is that Genji getting swapped out accounts for the overwhelming majority of hero diversity in the game, and it looks like we’re going back to having the same 6 in every game, and it hasn’t been that bad since season 5.
You know that every meta came because of the pro’s ?
People didn’t start to play triple tank because it was good. They started because it was op in tournaments.
Same with Dive.
Same with Orisa hog combo or slambulance with moira.
And this also shows with the mercy meta when people were thinking post mercy rework nerfed was garbage, the pros touched her and in a few weeks became a must pick at every level of the game.
There is not a single pro game with the new patch yet. OWL and OWC are both on the old patch so old dive is still prevalent.
Wait for the 150k people that watch OWL each week, all the forums and guide to update to say sombra is so good that she dictates the game, and watch her pickrate/winrate rise like my [*****] when I think about Brigitte.

Truer words have never been spoken. E-sports was a mistake.
I think it’s mostly just crybaby genji mains/meta slaves complaining that they might actually have a potential counter for once.
