Yeah. Another disappointment in hero design. Looking back at the classic OW concept art it’s obvious that newer heroes have been created by different people with different agendas.

They said the hero was ‘cute like Mercy’ or something like that. I just assumed they were referring to LW. Thought it was some gay men on the team that convinced everyone the hero is ‘cute’.
Of course this is subjective to opinions but LW is not cute in any way. If they wanted him to be cute they should have made him a small twink/femboy.

Jared was presented with two options: Cute like Mercy or cute like a puppy. Of those two options, LW is more cute like Mercy so that’s what Jared went with.
“Cute like Mercy” can also be interpreted in multiple different ways…
