Its been half year already…
I think it’ll be a shop skin, but there’s a Silver Surfer type Echo skin coming out at some point in the season IIRC.
All other heroes got a default ow2 skin, and echo doesnt…
Echo was originally planned to be an OW2 hero but they decided to fast track her to OW1 instead.
So her OW1 skin is her OW2 skin.

I mean, it is pretty much accurate. Besides, I’m wondering who Echo trusts enough to upgrade her via lore.
Torb does have her blueprints.

She was released in ow1. So ,as all the other heroes released in ow1 she should have a ow2 skin. Easy as that.

You forget that Blizz is a small indie company.
She was originally meant for Overwatch 2. She was not given a redesign because, also being fairly recent, there wasn’t a sensible redesign for her.
I agree but I guess they’ll go with something like “Echo was created by someone who’s dead in the OW lore so she won’t change default skin ever” :p…

Im sorry but Echo supposedly being an OW2 character is a terrible excuse. So many years went by and they didn’t think to adjust/introduce anything new?? Even some slight changes would’ve been fine. This company is so gdam lazy, the players that enable their low efforts are part of the problem too.

Its not even an excuse tbh. It was released in ow1, so its an ow1 hero.
Considering shes an AI she gradually learns and grows by observation….They still did nothing with that. It wouldn’t have caused change in lore but a tweak in her design by her own doing. Mind blowingly silly.
