I wrote about being warned for bad behavior just because I’m a one trick sym and it got closed immediately. Am I supposed to just take this abuse with no justice ?

sadly the community will always win in my opinion. You can be trying your best no matter what (on any hero you pick) and if your asked to switch and you don’t (which has been stated as something you cannot be reported for) the team will report you and then your eventually going to get punished. I would pick sombra and try my hardest some times getting 2 eliminations early in the game and then my team wouldnt push forward and the 2 eliminated would come back and I would be blamed for us losing when the team pushed to late. I could emp the enemy team and we win the team fight and reach the check point but then I get eliminated about 10 seconds later by a McCree who flash bangs me and Im told to switch or I would get reported. The sad part is no matter how much you try (even as a one trick) if the community is against you then your going to be punished even if you don’t deserve to be

It’s absolutely terrible. It’s not right at all. 1. I don’t talk on Teamchat, 2. I never ever throw. I should not be punished for playing the only hero I’m physically able to play at a high level. I’m a handicap gamer that plays with one hand on a customized controller. I play symmetra because of her not needing to aim much. And I’m a very good symmetra. I am physically unable to play anyone else and be good. I’m so disappointed with overwatch right now.

You are actively throwing games by onetricking Sym. You can make the argument of winrates, what you play best on, etc; but that does not stop the fact that every game you are forcing you’re entire team to either play around your gimmicky pick or lose. Sym is not a generalist hero, in the majority of situations she is actively a bad pick.
The way you are playing right now is very selfish and deserving of a ban imo. You can still play sym, but you need to be willing to switch if it is not working.

Throwing is not defined as one tricking. Blizz has made multiple statements about this.
Ur not forced to do anything by one tricks, one tricking is entirely about letting everyone choose whatever hero they want to play.

How are we supposed to be able to tell? A Sym who throws looks exactly like a Sym who is countered and won’t swap. Easy report. Hope you enjoy your suspensions.

It’s the failing of the automated system, it accepts ANY reports.
Example:
The team report you for one-tricking as Sym and use the Griefing reason, let’s say they give the excuse:
“Sym kept jumping off the cliff and dying.”
Yet your player data shows you only had 3 deaths that match and all deaths came from player-inflicted damage (bullets, abilities).
The reports ARE CLEARLY FALSE and yet the system accepts them because the current report system is based on VOLUME OF REPORTS (Blizz figures if a player amasses enough reports, they’re probably guilty, right?)
The system works for toxic, feeding, etc players but can easily be misused for reporting one-tricks.
THAT SAID:
The reason you’re receiving these reports, right or wrong (this is not my opinion, it’s fact) is because you are refusing to be flexible with your team. The Overwatch community looks poorly on off-meta one-tricks and you’re doing just that.

They seriously need to suspend the report system until they fix that absolute piece of garbage. It’s way to easy to abuse and actually doesn’t get rid of actual toxic people in Overwatch.

Funny. I’ve never had a single issue. I haven’t been suspended once. I haven’t been falsely banned once. It always seems to be a certain type of person who routinely encounters problems with the reporting system, and maybe they should reflect on that. Instead they will just cry about how it’s everyone else’s fault.

No, because dva and tracer do not force your team to build their entire comp around your pick.
Onetricking is not bannable, but poor teamwork is. If every single game you play extremely selfishly and willingly throw if your team does not play around your pick. You should be banned.

Yes, that’s why I wrote that post for you.
They’re abusing the reporting system to falsely report you because the system CAN’T TELL THE DIFFERENCE between ‘real’ and ‘false’ reports currently.
Just because Blizzard say “Don’t do it” doesn’t mean people won’t.

The report system just looks for players with large volumes of reports and decides “Well, they’re clearly evil!”

You are doing poor teamwork by essentially picking a suboptimal hero which requires immense amount of teamplay to work. If your team does not want to play around your hero, they are at a huge disadvantage.
If the majority of the community does not like what you are doing, perhaps you should reflect and figure out why. You are bullying people into playing a certain way or lose. Not a nice thing to do.
