Where did my Grav Ult go?

Hi,

I’ve googled for this, but can’t find anything. Sometimes as Zayra I fire out the Grav ult, and it just disappears. What nerfs it? The red team were playing Hog and Zayra.

buggy ult, but don’t worry we’ll be sure to buff mcree to fix that

We removed Zarya’s Graviton surge now she just throws umm nothing we also buffed Reinhardt for compensation now Zarya and Reinhardt shares the same ultimate!

I know you’re being facetious, but I have video proof. Does Genji nerf Grav? Or the opposing Zayra?

Genji can deflect zaryas grav. Is there a genji on the enemy team?

genji can deflect grav but there’s spots around the map where the grav just goes straight threw the floor. Example king’s row 3rd point

Yes, there was a Genji on the opposing team. So that explains 50% of of my disappearing Gravs, and going through the floor probably explains the other 50%.

Seems like a pretty %^%## nerf.

Oh yeah this happened to me on havana not long ago. I chucked my grav out and it just disappeared. I might look at the replay to see where it went but I think there are some spots where it can go through the map, sadly.

I’d definitely check the replays. Watch them in slow motion, see if you can spot what happened, bug or not.

If Genji deflects your grav, it doesn’t cancel it, it makes it hit your team. You’d definitely know if he deflected your grav.

I just checked, it was indeed reflected back at our team. Not quite as stupid as DVa nerfing the Grav with shield, but pretty stupid. The reflection travels about 5x faster than the actual Grav, so I didn’t see it at first, only when switching to 3P view on the replay.

Sigh.

It’s ok, at least you hopefully haven’t had Earthshatters that clearly hit the enemy but no one gets stunned.

See OP, the two enemy tanks were Hog and Zarya. It was definitely a Genji reflection. At least now when somebody Googles it, hopefully they will find this post. The DVa Nerf of Grav is just lame. It’s not even an E or Shift ability, just right click. You could literally do it by accident. Whoever thought of that in the dev team needs their head examined.

going trough floor is very rare though, it pretty much only happens at last part of kings row where there are a few holes in the floor around the edges, but even there its very rare and will almost never happen.
if it wasnt D.va/Sigma who ate it then genji probably deflected it.
i dont think i have ever had grav bug.

edit: i just read the rest and see you saw genji deflecting it. mystery solved i guess :slight_smile:

It was an invisible D.Va. She ate it.

Clearly you lack the faerie sight, so you can’t see gremlins.
