She got 25 less health added compared to most other heroes who got at least 50. All health gains made it so she needed to charge longer to kill and be closer due to falloff that Hanzo doesn’t have on his projectiles.

They then on a not so far off patch nerfed her weapon to the 0.05 projectile size modifier that is for shotguns/high fire rate weapon only. Though they did compensate her falloff range a bit due to the health changes breaking most of her distances forcing her to be at mcree ranges to get one shots lol.

I’m saying that they could just lower Tanks down in general, if they aren’t scaled to:

  1. Killing Widow
  2. Surviving Antinade
  3. Surviving StormArrow
  4. Dealing with Hack

If those things were less strong, then Tanks could have less firepower and defense. For roughly the same impact.

But they can’t really de-escalate because of the above listed “performance criteria”.

They should just give her sniper view a sway and up her health a bit so she is brought back in line with everyone else. I’m not a widow main nor do I enjoy playing widow now or ever but she does need something. The rife sway while scoped will be enough that those bad at widow have a nice cieling to improve on and those good with her have a small mountain to climb to call themselves good with widow. Right now she is too easy and with aiming being a soft skill…

things like Sway go against what Overwatch is.
Overwatch is not realistic
It tries to have the most responsive gameplayfeel.
Aimsway is a RNG mechanic which will never feel good to play and master.

You also do not have the time to wait for the Crosshair to eventually move to your target. It might work in games like Fallout, Sniper Elite or Tarkov but overwatch is to fast for it.

It also would go against Widows lore of lowering her Heart rate to have a steady hand.

So I guess Noskill is the Mantra of Overwatch. Makes sense.

it actually makes it harder. Many games have movementacceleration, Overwatch does not. The result is that AD strafing is very potent in Overwatch but aiming is harder. From what I’ve heard, Overwatch is one of the most difficult games when it comes to aiming.

Games like R6, CS, Valorant are slow and static, while Overwatch is very fast.

But the Noskill mantra is true for some heros, like Brig, Moira, Kiriko, Sombra and how the game is sometimes balanced.

I literally created a crosshair that was about the relative size of an apple for use on Hanzo. If I “William Tell” it and place the “apple” on top of someone’s head, it headshots 100% of the time.

Hanzo got harsher nerfs while being less frustrating to play against.

Are they both cancer? Yes. But widow very much more so and all she got was her HP not getting set to 250 like everyone else but 200 instead, which is still basically the HP from pre-season 9.

Eh I was thinking more like Junkrat, S76, Zarya, Ramm, Hog, Moira.

Kiriko on a dps perspective is very difficult to land damage but healing wise I would say she is a bit easier than mercy and ana. Brig , that one is a dumpster fire. She really needs her 1.0 status back but we know full well the tracer and genji mains would have something to say about that. :joy:

Not really making them less impactful in solo tank current state won’t help unless you make it hybrid q.

I’m talking about keeping identical impact, while also lowering their firepower and healthpool.

Like, for real, it’s actually pretty disturbing how much cognitive dissonance people have, when it comes to understanding:

  1. Weaken Tank Counters
  2. Weaken Tank Defences

It’s as if people entirely shut off their brain after reading step 1.

Which is why you need to make static supports more mobile, buff dive dps and real the rewards atleast as far as what 5v5 allows.

Because if we nerf Mei or Sym any more they might blink out of existence at that point.

Well the top ones remaining are AntiNade, Storm Arrow, and depending on the Tank Sombra Hack.

I.e. Tank Defences could be way lower, if those were weaker, or weaker on Tanks.

Oh. Well then it should be less shots than what she could do now. Still, I think three shots would be fair if the reload time was increased if her last shot was in the scoped mode. I feel like sniper play is overly demonized in this community, but even I feel annoyed when I die in one hit, so I’m trying to think of ways to find the middle ground.

I happen to think people’s complaints of Hanzo are unfair too. They hate his one shot, but they also hate his “spamming”, and I’m just seems like they don’t want him to do anything.
