When Will They Stop

Treating their community and fans like a second-class citizens with absolute lack of news and communication while putting content creators and “influencers” above people that actually purchased the game and their microtransactions and that decided to stick around to abandoned live service game?

It’s a simple question and i want a simple answer. When??

When people stop watching the streams and stop playing the game. This seems to be the only way.

In the best case scenario July 2023 would be my guess, that’s when Microsoft officially buys Blizzard, but it might be even longer depending how fast they can solve all the problems within the company. So it’s still a long time, 1 year and a half at least sadly. If you didn’t find another game yet it’s time to find something new and move on.

They don’t even bother with balance changes, the only thing they were doing last year, now the game is completely abandoned.

Community Manager AndyB made very detailed remarks on why content creators are partners in the overall community outreach for video games. Read about them here:

just stop what you’re doing.

At this point I think it’s just immaturity/pride. Management doesn’t want to have to accept the fact that the community is trying to hold them accountable so they simply ignore the problem. Streamers/creators on the other hand will happily lick their boots if it gets them an easy paycheck.

I have never seen blizzard ever apology for anything. So many bad decision that have all be labeled as “it is going to be very cool”.

Don’t tell us how we have to feel about it. Make it feel like such.

This.

Also, Jeff didn’t directly state but hinted that the player base is worthless when giving opinions.

I want to acknowledge that I understand folks who disagree with this approach, and 5 years ago, the way the industry viewed content creators was very different. Today, it’s to our benefit to treat them as trusted partners whenever possible.

Overwatch devs are just digging their own hole. This was the worse ex card to date, all thanks to these “content creators” lmaoo

Edit:
Also anyone who defends blizzards approach are bots, like actual bots not the meme thing.

Yeah, the disconnect from the community is real.

And yet, this community, knowing everything, have zero dignity to abstain from this game.

Absolutely this.

I remember AndyB saying that the devs actions should speak for themselves. Well it’s speaking for itself and i’m not liking what it’s saying.

This is happening.

This is not.

The lack of news is just that there isn’t any news because the Devs do not currently care enough about the live game and the players current experience to make any actual changes or balance it. They have made that abundantly clear. Content creators are not getting a bunch of secret info that we are not. There just isn’t info about the live game to share with us or content creators.

The whole outreach to content creators is the community management team trying to get something going for the community. The are trying to get things going with creators so the community has something. Honestly I give credit to that team for at least trying something.

The whole problem is not the community team working secretly with creators and hording info. The problem is the Devs just are not interesting in making any real changes to the live game. That ties the hands of everyone below them. There just is no info to share.

Agree.

It’s not saying, it’s showing. Showing middle finger.

Content creators are free advertisers.

The ugly Reaper skin, though? How am I supposed to abstain from that?
