Tanks and supports have each had their swing of the nerf hammer so why are dps still being spared? It makes no sense to still have damage so high and nerf the tanks who protected against it. I’m not saying the tanks that were nerfed were balanced but to nerf 1 without nerfing the other is a bit of a bad move on blizzards part. Not to mention that now tanks are nerfed teams will be taking more damage than usual so the supports need to heal more than they used to but instead of maybe knocking down some of the damage in game they decide to nerf healing which has really made keeping teammates up in situations that you used to be able to impossible. People complained there was too much healing in the game and I agree but that healing is what kept the absurd amount of damage in the game at bay, it needs to be toned down. It doesn’t make sense that heroes like widow haven’t been touched in so long yet they are clearly overtuned and frankly annoying to play against.
They probably won’t.

If they nerf all three equally, what was the point of the nerfs?
To make sure nothing’s overdone. Nerfing 2/3 when that remaining third is clearly too much puts the game in a major imbalance.

if their ability to tank when there are too of em is busted, they get nerfed.
They, uh… They did didnt they? They nerfed reapers life steal even though hes trash. They nerfed Hanzos arrow speed and storm arrow damage and they nerfed mei’s endothermic blaster freeze. They gave Doomfist a hangtime window after uppercut. What do you want?
As they did. Nerfing dps now would just put us back to the original problem where tank and supports are too effective. Things should die in this game and I personally am glad for the faster fights
Yeah but blizzard tends to do this thing where they dont address all the active problems. Them nerfing hanzo and doom only happened because people complained about them A LOT. Mei got a slap on the wrist, reaper was busted in Lower ranks so they simply reverted his GOATS buffs but that was only a small fraction of the problematic dps that should’ve been nerfed. All those dps changes did was make those heroes slightly less annoying to deal with but they are still played alot.
Until they directly affect the meta.

Well if they’re annoying but still played then the nerfs worked. Looking at the tables in overbuff it seems like the nerfs are having an affect. Did you just want different DPS heroes to be staple picks?

In what way? If you nerf everything equally, the same problems will persist. Power creep is only bad if it is only on one aspect of the game. If everything is buffed, it stays equal and nothing changes, same with nerfing everything.
Reaper kept his life steal moderately, but yes, out of these he’s probably the closest to actually nerfed.
Hanzo nerfs are miniscule and do not affect him in the slightest. He’s still a braindead one-shot machine that can’t be flanked or dived because he just melts everything.
Mei still has the broken thing - multifreeze.
Doomfist nerf was reverted because LOL nerfing is for tanks and supports.
What do I want? To live for more than 1.5 seconds. And for FUN and REASONABLE DPS like Soldier to take the spotlight instead of “I headsmash the keyboard and kills come out” Spamzo and Dumbfist.
Right. Categories were over buffed. Now they’re only partially lowered power wise. Finish the job, power creep reverted.
Soldier is seeing a lot more play now than he was and its more due to barrier nerfs than competition for DPS. His win and pick rates are up.
That’s not what I meant by making them less annoying.
- Mei had the freeze adjusted to make the slow less but she still does the same thing
- Doomfist is still oppressive and can get free kills considering they didn’t nerf the right part of his kit
- Hanzo is still spamzo with his storm arrow staying the same old free 1v1 win button
These heroes are still basically played all the damn time and still do what they used to before the nerfs so I dont see how the nerfs worked.
Don’t think that anyone actually says that(Except for df and sym mains, maybe)
They won’t be up for long because one-shotters still outclass him mid-range (SPAAAMZO) and one-shotters outclass him close-range (DUUUMBFIST) and one-shotters outclass him far range (WEEEEDOW).
No point in sustained damage when there’s a one-shot for every range that outclasses you.
