When we finally get better servers? 60Hz is stoneage technic

Hello @blizzard ? What are you doing with the whole money that you get? Making this game F2P and adding battlepass for even more money grind - its okay for me but its not okay for me that youre wasting this money in buying drugs and not to upgrade this stoneage servers to a higher tickrate.

Give us finally better servers!

Hate to break it to you, but 60Hz is a machine performance issue, not a server issue.

So they said about OW1, but I do not see it outside the realm of posibilities that they made it up so people would stop asking for more expensive servers.

I’m running a higher-end machine, but I have yet to see anything below 140Hz aside from the menu.

I am quite sure OP is talking about the server Tickrates being 60 where as CSGO is 128 tickrate yet OW is a way faster pased game.

slightly wrong. From what I am reading all “official” servers are ran at 60 (64) tick rate, while community ran comp servers run at 120 (128) tick rate.
so I guess valve is also lazy?

Like its a mess as there is no official page to find easy, some people say its 64 and then you have other people showing them playing ranked on 128 servers.
Might be dependend on location.

Huh? What are you talking about? You think machines run at 60Hz or a modern processor would have a problem processing 60 ticks a second? Seriously?

A more likely reason is cost. They will be running many games on each server. The more work each game process has to do the smaller the number of games a server can support without exhausting its CPUs. This means that upping the rate would add cost to Blizz as they would need more servers to run the same number of games. I would imagine they can run 100s of games per server, if not 1000s.

There is also little point in upping the rate because of network latency. If your ping is 40ms, then that is 20ms to get from your machine to the server and 20ms for the response to return. There are 50x20ms in 1 second. There’s little point in running the servers much faster than that or your game will be constantly behind where the servers are at as responses overlap with requests.

I never had problems in CSGO with the 64hz servers - also CSGO is slow paced game and stone old.

Overwatch is fast paced and widow can kill me if im behind the wall sometimes - in the killcam im then not behind a wall LOL.

Well true, but its also the FTS system combined with lag compensation then you have abbilities that take priority and then u have the fact I cant think of a single system they havent messed up so far.

I remember when OW launched they had the really good server which gave me a ping of 1-5 (no joke) and since they switched people with a higher ping can actually hook me out of Reaper wraith XD

They need to invest in alot of things but since the board is all about max profits you can always expect the poor quality server (no matter the tickrate) and the systems to compensate for that to be broken/abused.

some of you have this wrong. The 60hz server is talking about the tick rate of the server. Your FPS can be WAY higher than a servers tick rate. BF games back in the day were running at a tick rate of I believe 10 but I was still able to play at 60 frames.
