I’m not sure if you’re aware of it but an airborne Echo is easier to shoot down than an airborne Pharah because her flight is far more predictable
A variety of people have a hard time playing Echo since aiming a projectile while air born is pretty hard. Its not easy damage like Pharah’s rocket. Likewise the aiming aspect on her projectile and sticky bomb makes it hard to prioritize a target when she needs it unless beam is in use and that’s only valuable at <50 hp. Unlike the pinpoint focus fire you can get out of hitscan.
Likewise people smarten up usually and try to shoot the echo when ult goes up and needing to spend several seconds to charge ult to do anything of use on a copied character has been a detriment in a variety of matches I have played.
I disagree, i find Echo much easier to aim with as her flying is smooth and you have 3 different attacks. Spunk bombs, a little pew pew and then a finish with the Zarya attack.

But yeah, I feel the burst hitscan are more reliable at it. Ashe is the one keeping her oppressed right now. But it is so bad that you could even realistically go Tracer.
I am just salty because I really wanted to love this hero, but it ain’t happening. Even people who cannot aim reliably take me out and force the Pharah instead. Like… c’mon, bruh.
And naturally im dreadful at Ashe haha. Im having a mare as Pharah vs Echo, air to air combat is hard enough but her attacks and flying is a massive advantage vs Pharah.

Did I say Pharah was hard to shoot down? No, I said Echo was easier than Pharah because her flight path is far easier to read and predict. Pharah is still laughably easy to deal with but Echo is easier
More people will have an easier time getting splash damage next to a target than a direct hit with a projectile. Most of my matches teams have even just ignored Echo because she’s not doing anything and being a potato.
It is not even about the flight path, Echo is wearing a sumo suit of a hitbox. And her flight duration makes her more susceptible to dive. It is just a mess…
