When are we getting a positivity system?

The idea of a positivity system has been floating around since season 5.
The Devs (as far as I am aware) haven’t every given their thoughts on this so perhaps they’re still trying to figure out how to implement it!
Here are some ideas I had:
In the drop down menu (from right clicks) there would be a new option labeled ‘Commend’.
Clicking on this would lead to a menu similar to the report one with the following categories:
Flexibility
Good Sportsmanship
Great Teamwork
Being Positive

Rules:
2 commendations per match
You can only commend the same person once a Month
You CAN commend friends

Other info
If you get commended you receive a notification
Multiple commendations will give you 750 free credits.
You receive notifications in your menu (like multiple reports) telling you to keep up the good work.
In QP matchmaking tries to put positive players with other positive players!

What are your thoughts and suggestions?

Who knows, I know the one in League of Legends gets me to behave better.

I want to flame this guy but I better not cause I want Honor level 5 for skins and keys lol

No positivity here! This is Overwatch and we dont want anything that supports good teamwork and friendly behavior. Just stay toxic and report everyone thats what the devs want. /s

Some kind of honor system or whatever would be nice to help promote positive behavior they should really work on that.

Maybe they could even implement a meter of sorts. The more often you get c9mmendatuons, the higher the meter. That why people would know if you are good player to be arround :slight_smile:

Somehow ‘avoid player’ made it to the game before this did. Probably because they don’t really make money off this. Bad reputation leads to frustration leads to smurfs leads to money in blizzards pocket.

Something like four = -1 report so you have to be constantly positive and flexible to undo them!

Maybe turn this down, just so people don’t run out of things to buy. I know that SOME people have, but I don’t think the devs wanna make that a whole community wide problem.

Maybe multiple banks you 100? This way staying positive in the long run has it’s own rewards, instead of people getting their friends to commend them enough times to get 750 credits, ya know?

But, maaaaaaaan, do I like this idea!

Once a month and you’d need 20 friends + to commend you before you get the credits. Although I did think it could be tuned down slightly!

i agree with the idea but 750 seems a bit much?

Perhaps it could be in tiers.
Get 10 commendations you get 100
At 20, 200
At 30 300 capping at 500 or something!

Tieing good behaviour to skins, genius.
Make it lootboxes instead of credits and even the suits at activision could swallow it.
