This guy has been meta for 2 years now, probably the most oppressive hero ever made for this game. Not only does he help enable the worst meta of the game (double shield) but he basically makes any other tank irrelevant. Like how many abilities does he need, stun, AOE + mobility, shield manoeuvrability, ability to eat damage (DVA on steroids), projectile high damage and ability to build more shield on himself. Don’t know what they were thinking making this hero but he pretty much has ruined the gaming experience for a lot of people.

I guess they wanna wait and see how buffed Rein will do against other tank comps.
Yeah, there’s nothing slight about it either he can use it to escape falling, get high-ground and place himself areas off-limits to most heroes.
My guess, they make Orisa and Sigma more vulnerable to close range attacks.
And probably slow down Rein’s movement speed while barriered, such that it’s map specific geometry between the gaps of chokepoints determines whether Rein or Orisa / Sigma are more useful.
I doubt that Sig is Meta for 2 years… he cameout in 2019 if I remember correctly… we have 2020… something is not right with that calculation…

It is really slow, fam, and he is a tank. He is not getting anywhere relevant anytime soon. And since you need to blow ultimate, it is only worth it to save yourself from going off stage.
Mobile tanks are more like… Dva, Winston and Hammy. Rein technically has mobility too, but given you can realistically only use it in spawn, nobody really calls him a mobile tank. Go figure.

I understand your arguments though. Sogma just simply has to much. They should either take away his stun/grasp and improve his MT playstyle OR they should remove his barrier and umprove his OT mechanics.
Hybrids dont work, like we saw with Brig 1.0, I have no idea why Blizz havent learned there lesson and still overload hero kits like that.

yeah and if u ask any good OT player they will show u how bored they are of sigma already. 16months and the only variety they had are a few hours on other tanks during the october patch.

I’m pretty sure MoreHeroes means that Sigma using Flux to get the high ground is not exactly mobility on tap.
I think most people here would agree that Sigma’s dominant at the moment, as well as being part of a loathed comp in the form of double barrier. But I really wouldn’t call him “mobile”.

I’ve never actually seen someone miss the point so hard. It’s not any specific ability that he is chosen, it is his entire toolkit that is the issue. His ultimate (which any competent player can build every fight) does give him mobility, I didn’t say that’s the main issue though.
Really? Because you JUST had someone have to explain the discussion we were having to keep you on the same page. So I would not say “never” unless you happened to just miss that one. I will happily be your secondary example, though.
You are just wrong. Sigma is not a jack of all trades just because he is meta. You can argue he is overtuned all you want, but this is a huge reach.
If you genuinely believe he is a mobile tank and top Sigma are using Flux for mobility, you should not be contributing to a balance discussion. It is that simple.

I suggest re-reading the initial post, I never said he’s a mobile hero, I said it’s part of his kit.

Using ultimates for singular purposes isn’t common in plat, so I understand that you can’t comprehend this.
