I’ll start - Flex your power (tank autofill).
I just usually don’t play enough to finish a pass.
I only buy them if i reach lvl 75, which is very rare these days.
i dont mind thorwing 10 bucks on blizzard.
what i did not do since the hard mauga nerfs is buy big ticket items like skins and extra stuff.
They need to learn to respect player base.
Buy a battle pass makes no difference. Once they have little revenue on colabs. That is where it hurts them.
Like for Apple - apple services is key. That is the largest chunk of their revenue. Not selling Iphones.
Same with Blizzard games. They will learn once we stop catering to their non sense.
Consumer always wins.
? I’ve never completed a single one of this challenge and I finished the BP like 4 weeks ago lol…
I don’t even know what the challenges are any more. I just play what I want to play with no mind to them, and I still completed the free pass a bit after mid-season - and that’s despite lacking the 20% (or whatever) XP bonus that you get from the premium pass.
Anyway. The reason I didn’t get the premium pass is because I didn’t like any of the skins in it. Simple as that, really.
I don’t see the point of the BP : I’m not that into new skins, or voicelines (which I never use), or sprays (never use either), or any of the stuff it offers. If I want a skin, I’ll wait till I have enough game money to buy it. That’s it. I bought it I think the first time I played, back when new heroes were locked somewhat behind it, and got the Amaterasu skin with it. Since then, never bought it again.
I dont like the idea of paying for the right to have to earn something. If I max out a BP before its over, I’ll pay for it to get everything. So far, I’ve done that only twice, but still.
the heroes i play usually dont get that much content in it, and even then their best cosmetics are usually in the store
I worked it out some time ago, with the 20% bonus for premium pass before you start you only need to play 3-4 hours a week for the season IIRC. When I’m less tired I’ll see if I can find the post for you but I’m pretty sure it’s not a big deal to get level 80.
Have to say this last pass was the worst one ever, I wouldn’t have bothered if it weren’t for the mythic tokens to spend on iridescent upgrades. I may even skip the next one if it’s a repeat of ugly, unappealing items.
ive got the battlepass i odnt know if i will finish the tiers or not before the end of this season but i did complete the main battlepass and its only 10 bucks the tracer skin and some of the other stuff is what got me to get it
because they give 600 coins per season, and in the case of skins. With how often they release skins it was like I was afraid to drop 10/20$ now because what if they release another skin that might be cooler. It’s like I really have to be wowed to buy them, and none of them really do that. complete skin over saturation.
Battlepasses are garbage and the sooner they go away the better.
Either I’m not into the theme or my mains don’t have anything.
I don’t feel like rocking a Mercy Mythic when I don’t play her.
Also by skipping passes I earn enough free currency to buy a later pass that has skins or a mythic I will actually use.
I’m never going to use a magical girl skins.
Its the best bang for your buck you’ll get from blizzard in terms of content overall. Now, it is up to you if you value anything they give you, but nothing else comes close to the level of value for content for most people.
The cheapest skin otherwise is almost always 1900 without any bells and whistles. The mythics are usually could enough to get a couple of BPs and bank the coin until something releases you want. Along with the RNG loots and other freebies.
Generally, there is enough content there to justify people picking it up for those that actually still play the game and intend to play more.
Pretty simple….I don’t pay for cosmetics in games
Plus why pay when I can just get everything for free (ty MS rewards) - also recently realized that I can just turn WoW (which I also don’t pay money for) gold into ow credits
I think I have, in total… 4-5 skins that I bought (a lot of them cost less than 1900). A few others I got in the loot boxes, or the first BP I bought. That’s more than enough for me I only really like a few heroes in the game, so it makes no sense to me to have skins for the others. I have the ones I want for the heroes I play the most
The report system is simply number of reports equals ban without any human review to confirm any rules being broken. I was buying battle passes quite frequently but after getting fraudulently banned for six months before getting my account back I realized all of my time and money can just get taken away again for no reason.
Even today there’s a huge thread on the main OW reddit showing people getting banned for ‘cheats’ but they were just playing the game using freja stadium perks… banned for just playing the game. They only got unbanned quickly because the thread gained traction and made enough noise for a real blizzard employee to look at it instead of the off shore automated garbage you usually get.
Until this system changes Blizzard gets $0 from me forever.
I wont pay irl money to put clothes on an online avatar. I’ll buy it if i get enough credits from playing the game.
I buy it if I think its worth it and if the skins are for my characters. I won’t buy skins with coins because they are way to expensive and they only make skins for a few characters.
I haven’t enjoyed playing the regular modes at all recently. I only play custom games when i start ow at all.
So even if i play 30 hours in a week, i don’t get a single level in the pass.
I don’t know what it is, but the last 3 seasons i have barely touched regular gameplay. It’s just not enjoyable to me.
I enjoyed stadium, until support queues jumped past 10 minutes. I haven’t touched it since.
