Typically, I ignore chat but occasionally I get someone so annoying/toxic that I decide to say something.
Normally, if a dps or support on the enemy team tries to blame their tank, my go to is “Do you think you did enough that game to blame your team?” Or “You hold every game you play hostage”
When I am insulted?
“Says the kid who turned off their monitor before playing”.
I’m also quite fond of just saying to people typing, “damn nice job carrying us with that typing.”
If someone calls me or a teammate out in match chat, I might say the complainer is crying in voice (with a sad face). Or if they whine in team chat, I’ll tell them if they start crying, it’s gonna make me sad. I’m childish.

Whenever I see an enemy openly blame one of their team mates, I’ll typically go “actually I feel it was the [insert whatever hero they were on] that was holding you guys back”

There are no “safe” insults.
In my experience, players get particularly upset when they are told that they are playing very well and actually deserve to win.
Lol, the T500 freaks in my game regularly drop every slur imaginable in game. No one reports anything or cares at this point. Im prolly ok

I don’t engage with their degeneracy. My brain hasn’t turned fully to mush quite yet lmao.
I think all my insults are pretty safe. My favorite one is “Genji mains pay hundreds of dollars on skins just to have Mercy (or whatever support is pocketing them) to put a leash on him”.
I mean, really! The Genji power fantasy is being a super cool ninja flanking around and getting kills, but they’ll run to momma Mercy or Ana the second they get a paper cut.

actually it’s mean that it’s useless to try anything - it woudn’t work in this situation
mostly people reply with “yeah u were useless”
and i answer - indeed > cause i know that i’m useless, i can’t help in the situation that’s why i wrote this
