We were rolling the enemy team really hard and they started fighting with each other and throwing and one of them said in all chat “imagine if you didn’t throw” and all I said back to him was “it doesn’t matter, your team sucks anyway lol”. Apparently I get reported for telling the truth, come on!
People are overly sensitive and dislike being told the truth. It sucks, but what are you gonna do …
Oh thisll be good
It’s pretty childish… but then again, you might be a child.
Because when i have 4 golds as Zarya, and 5 dps on my team
they get a bit sensitive over there poor choices in heroes, and that a tank is out classing them all.
yeah but if they’re under the impression they’re actually good, they’ll never improve. someone has to be assertive and tell them they suck. gordon ramsey isn’t childish when he yells at the chefs who make bad food.
Gordon ramsay is a world renowned chef and they ask for his opinion.
Gordon Ramsey is putting on an act…
I can’t tell if you really are some kid, or a troll… either way, I’m going to get out of this unconstructive thread before it implodes.
Edit… why do I get the feeling the OP is that forum user named Gordon Ramsey and he is posting on his alt account…
No, he’s just being a terrible person with not a single ounce of pedagogy in him, because it makes for better television. You, on the other hand, didn’t have the excuse of trying to go for ratings, so at least have the decency not to try and pass it off as “I was being helpful lul”
Plot Twist: You’re also a child. And then it turns out not only am I also a child, but so is everybody else here on these forums. Even El Jeff.
Biggest plot twist of all time
(notachildbtwthatsthejoke)
The term “you suck” is pretty harsh, so not many people have thick skin for that term. You could’ve at least said something constructive and encourage them to do better, but saying “you suck” is just mean.
Telling people they suck when they are struggling isn’t even vaguely helpful.
That is like kicking someone when they are down. I mean, you just roll their butts, that is enough proof to say that you are way better than them.
So the best thing to respond was: “You guys can keep it in team chat next time please”. I mean, sure watching people having a meltdown on all chat is stupidly satisfying (this is a normal occurrence on Dota 2, because of Peruvians on NA servers and Pinoy on SEA server).
Because it’s bad. I don’t like to hear someone telling me that I suck. I don’t see any usefulness either.
“Hey you’re ugly!” when I pass by you on the street… how did that make you feel? If you have to ask, I doubt any answer will illustrate to you how poor a behavior it is…
On a more practical level, telling someone “they suck” doesn’t help them improve, its just insulting. Tell them what they could do better and avoid the insult… that’s not that hard is it?
This is your truth !
The right thing you could have said is that they didn’t work well as a team (no coordination, team play etc…). Telling someone they suck is not constructive and is pretty insulting.
The difference between “you suck” and “you didn’t play well” is that the first one carries a judgment and the other one is plain factual.
But I think you’re smart enough to see the difference, you just wanted to mock the enemy team and got rightfully reported for lack of sportsmanship.
I would like to believe that anyone capable of going on to the internet to post in these forums would know the answer to that. When has telling someone they suck ever lead to anything positive?
if you can’t tell what is wrong with it then you should probably stay away from chat unless you want to get banned for “nothing”.
You do not need thick skin to deal with some telling you you suck. As long as it’s not paper, you should be good.
Its still utterly poor behavior and doesn’t do anything constructive…
