I’ve felt this way for a while and with the new voice lines I feel I need to talk about how some voice lines actually PROMOTE toxicity and undermine the fight against it.
“Someone call the whambulance” Only a toxic person would use “whambulance.”
“Rolled” I guess it’s only because a hamster can’t smoke. If it were McCree’s line it would have been rolled and smoked.
“Just taking out the trash.” Yeah use this voice line after you kill someone to call them trash.
And of course the worst offender - “stupidity is not a right.”
Those voice lines if typed out in chat could easily get you banned for toxicity, so why have them be part of the voice lines?

It takes a very special kind of person to call comments like that “toxic”.
Have you EVER dealt with serious toxicity? Because it is nothing like this. This is weaksauce. It’s what anyone sane would call “teasing”.
Also, typing them out in chat is reportable with 2-3 clicks. People who report others for comments like that, do not do so because they truly seriously feel deeply offended and are currently literally shaking and crying behind their computer.
They report because they want to weaponize the report function out of spite.

The Mercy line is more of a response to toxicity. Just like “don’t sass me.” It is hard to use those if nobody is being toxic, fam.
