Whats with Brig all the sudden?

I see her in almost every game now and in some of them they carry the match. Have they did something to her?

It might be because Sombra is seeing a lot more play these days. I’m constantly going Brig to deal with Sombra.

She’s been situationally very strong all season, people are probably just finally waking up to that fact on a wider scale.

The community does tend to take a long while to adjust opinions on hero strength when it’s just meta shifts and/or number tweaks that changed matters.

She’s so strong right now. I pick her almost regardless of team comp this season.

They keep giving her numbers buffs (more shield, more healing) instead of utility. She is good based on numbers alone.

she’s pretty good actually

No real changes to her, but with all the dive she is becoming more common because no peel so she tanks for back line, just happens to also be a solid heal

Thats interesting. I might have to give her a try though i haven’t played Brig yet in OW2. I’ve heard they will be reworking her soon though.

+50 shield is excellent for dueling. More shield bash up time. Mobility and dmg.
+25burst hp great for saving allies
Cheaper rally to build up to it more.

Ball being hugely meta. Brig counters his entire kit. She just cant kill him.

Brigitte is really good with mitigating Ball. She can’t kill him, but hitting his targets with repair packs and booping him away minimizes his effectiveness.

She was already a decent pick situationally before her buffs last month. The recent buffs to heroes that she is a good pick into help her out even more.

Direct or indirect nerfs to other supports may also help people to gravitate more towards different supports that were buffed or that they also enjoy.

Shes good, but more likely shes getting chosen for the fact that it is insanely easy to get play of the game with her because of her passive.
Your healing alot of people
Tanking a bunch of damage
and killing alot of people on your own
AND since killing people while shes ulting doesnt count as ult kills she is gaining more points per kill than someone else.

Let me put it like this;
There was a time when people were complaining about Brig having a shield that was larger than her health pool (and had a funny regen) And we’re back to her having that shield again, not the regen. And her boops are a little stronger (it’s all she has)
They had to overtune her a bit because her ult used to help her stand up front. Now it’s one of the 2 worst, if not the worst.

Soon she’ll have a decent ult and can go back to being nerfed like everyone else :smiling_face_with_tear:

Maybe people wanna play with Rally a bit more before its gone.

I remember seeing a massive surge of Doomfist, Sombra, Bastion, and Orisa on the final few days of OW1.

Oh god, that Doom surge was the worst. I remember the last month of OW1 was spent eagerly awaiting the death of DPS Doom.

I pick Brig a lot of the time, but is dependent on the enemy composition. I often get triple, sometimes quadruple, the healing output to my other support.

Brig is amazing against:
DVA
Ball
Doom
Monkey
Sigma
Genji
Sombra
Tracer
Widow
Lucio
Mercy

Just not dying is how to thrive. She is a great pick at the moment with Ball being Meta too. Usually at least one of the above Tanks or DPS plays in my matches and that’s why I pick Brig. Plus she’s blooming fun to play if you play her right!

Brig has always been decent but just rather niche. Despite this she’s a pretty safe pick thanks to how tanky she is for a support hero + is good into Ball who is everywhere currently.

Think the only bad thing about her is her ult because after the OW2 changes to bonus health, without the armor it’s kind of just a garbo version of Soundbarrier and is probably why it’s getting changed.

No dude they playing her because their wack dps or tank aint doin their job protecting them. Universal thought WOW!

Just her ult. Her base kit is already very solid.

I agree like others that this is just because dive Heroes like Wrecking Ball has been buffed. Also snipers are often picked. I find that Brig is a good pick against enemy snipers since her Barrier is good at absorbing shots.
