Why does this support have better aim/hits then many of the dps out there?
Or is this that mass cheating that many posts seem to mention?

Mass cheating. It comes in waves like that. I remember when there were waves in OW1 of Hanzos who’s arrows wouldn’t even land within 3 feet of you but would give them a hit marker. It would come in waves of like a week or 2 at a time then disappear for awhile only to reappear once again in consistent and in large numbers for short intervals.
Same goes with other cheats on other characters. There will be a wave of Reins that always manage to throw up their shield before getting pulled by hog or sleep dart by Ana, etc. Almost every game for like 2 weeks, then things will go back to normal.
I’ve noticed alot of cheating Ashes and Cassidys lately. Probably some cheat related to hit scan that is hot right now. Just became undetectable or got updated.

I have 1,400 hrs of Mercy, 400 hrs of Pharah and 100 hrs of Rein. Aiming with a weapon is obviously not my area of expertise. I’ve tried hitscan and I’m laughably bad. Like really bad.
Yet somehow, I picked up Bap the other day and had stupidly good accuracy. I think the S9 changes just made it way too easy to do big dmg by aiming at the upper body and letting the recoil pull his rifle up into automatic headshots.

I don’t see it often but when I do my teammates are bots.
Baptiste is one of the better Support characters in the game. Coincidentally, cheaters tend to gravitate towards him and Kiriko primarily for the critical damage and survivability. Recent hitbox changes also made it easier to land critical shots with his vertical recoil.

The cheater comments on here are too funny, I’m nowhere near top when it comes to aiming in any game but barely miss on Bap the burst fire is easy to control… sometimes I wonder why people play Moira all the time when she does tickle damage then I see these replies and get it.

Bap got genji three shuriken projectile size hitscan bullets with smaller spread and more dmg.
cos he has 0.08m hitscan bullets

Bap is easy to hit things with and doesn’t tend to get pressured because he has multiple get out of jail free cards.

They made it so you dont have to aim.
Never trust a stock skin/icon/low endorse/title free bap that performs well

They really need to just rebalance this game around console-level aim assist and get rid of this kind of discrepancy already
To add onto this, it’s easier to get away with cheating/boosting in metal ranks on a hero like Bap. Few people are looking out for the cheating support hero compared to those watching out for a cheating hitscan DPS.

For me, bap feels like the S76 of the support class. The gun just feels great to use, and when you’ve your aim dialed in, it’s difficult to miss.

yea i dont know how they let bap be this strong. im in my meta slave arc so im just gonna play him until they realize he is not OK lol he does way too much. if you have good aim (and multitasking) bap is one of the only characters you can convert that into a massive advantage as.
So just to the point now where either:
a) Anyone playing Bap is a potential cheater using some type of aiming program so I am simply reporting them. Least this will give Bliz folks work to do to review it, or, maybe they can realize something is off with the hero.
b) The hero/his gun is poorly designed that allows him to have unheard of aiming ability.
c) The projectile changes last season allow him to score better hits then intended.
