What's the season 12 meta?

About to start season 12 placements, but I’m not really sure which hero is good right now or which overall team build that should be used.

I main support.

Best Supports for Season 12 in my opinion are -

Main Healers - (Best to worst)

  1. Ana
  2. Moira
  3. Mercy

Off Healers -

  1. Zenyatta
  2. Brigitte
  3. Lucio

It is important to note, that all these heroes are still more than viable. Yes, even Mercy. I’ve played Moira, Zen, Mercy and Ana this season, and they’ve all come in useful in different scenarios. Maps also have a big part to play when picking your Support.

probably less zen and ALOT more brig.

the only reason she didnt have massive pickrate last season was a combination of hanzo being mega overtuned and nobody wanting to play her when they can play a fun dps hero instead.

now she can take an off healer role… shes gonna be played ALOT.

nerfing zarya so she cant really team wipe anymore makes zen less useful too.

ohhh and absolute craptonnes of doomfist.

Because Lucio is perfect for protecting Ana and goving her mobility and having two glass cannon supports is too risky.

I’m a flex, and I like all of these at the end of season 11, some depend on the map:

(PS4, Silver/Gold)

Support:
Mercy, Zanyatta, Ana and Brigitte

Tank:
Winston, D.VA, Reinhardt and Roadhog

Damage:
Hanzo, Genji, Junkrat, Soldier 76, Mei and Pharah

Man, are people still so stuck on meta-mindset? Meta is pretty much only in your heads and in pro scene. Us plebs have to pay pretty much no mind to it lol.

meta is just about abusing the poor balance. you can make anything work, but it’s easier to win with overpowered compositions

ie, brig is overpowered, so build a comp to maximize her. hence goats meta.

cont. brig is overpowered, but you dont want to play cancer. so you go mobile CC (hamster, sombra, doom)
