@ Blizard support why is my account forced to have a SMS when I have owned the 60!!! dollar anniversary edition for years!!! on ps4!! this should not even be a problem why do I a paying customer need to attach my phone number
They waived the requirements for OW1 accounts.
i have a overwatch one account on PlayStation but it wont let me log in I eaven put in my old disc
The change to phone number requirements is now in effect. As we mentioned in our last status update 2.9k, this means the majority of our console community (players who already had Overwatch connected to their Battle.net account, including any console player who has played since June 9, 2021) no longer need to meet SMS Protect requirements. Any PC player who ever played the original Overwatch has this requirement removed.

I’ve been playing ow for years, attached to my battlenet account. I was playing just 12 hrs ago. WHY am I trying to log in now and I get the same bs 'you need to provide your phone number ’ AGAIN?! Now? When they pulled this crap on launch, I couldn’t log in with my phone number bc you had my area code mistaken and put me in some country overseas…I live in TX. I couldn’t play for days bc it wasn’t possible to correct it. Now I log in and you want to pull this crap again. I’m not going through this again…not even going to try. Played NOTHING BUT OVERWATCH for years and now I can’t bc of this. WTF
