Why not both? some people may not like banana some may not like coffee.
Coffee cake sounds less risky. I might be biased as I know of some that absolutely despise bananas but none that dislikes coffee.

Generally, no one will turn down free food and although anecdotal evidence doesn’t mean sh*t, I can’t name one person I know who dislikes cinnamon buns.

Banana bread, it’s not even close.
Its never dry, so its good for eating and chat, unlike coffee cake which can require beverages.
Banana is also less controversial than coffee cake and less “dessert-y”, its more casual.

Depends on both the beverage you’re serving and the situation. If you’re going with tea or coffee, then I recommend coffee cake, and if you’re going with soda or something, then go with banana bread.
I don’t but I don’t care for cinnamon in general.
Both, it’s nice to have choices.
