I see no issues why we there shouldn’t be another korean tank, basically one of Dva’s crew.
Widowmaker, Ana and Ashe are quite similar bu are some of the most popular characters.
Soujorn and Soldier 76 are also good heroes
Junker Queen and Reinhardt follow the same short ranged brawl mode.
So I don’t understand why some people whine about “another tank similar to Dva” when that said tank is not even made yet.

I am very sure there are neither north nor South Korea in OW. Just Korea.
They are similar in optimal distance utilization but they are not of the same faction, nation or race. You want to justify adding another Mekka member, this is a poor comparison to do so.

I think that the OP is focusing on functional similarities with most of their comparisons. But we also have 3 Japanese heroes, 2.5 Canadian heroes, 1.5 Egyptian heroes, 2 Nepalese heroes. 4 Americans from the USA, 2 Swedes, and 2 Aussies. There’s no reason we couldn’t have a second Korean hero.
Personally, I nominate D.Mon! They are the obvious choice and a lot of people already want her to exist.
Nope. A straight MEKA squad member is too obvious and redundant. Should be Dae-Hyun. Comes out as a double agent for Talon after being spurned by DVa. Also should be a DPS Flanker assassin with a beam weapon to counter Dva.
Personally, I don’t really care what country the heroes come from. As long as their gameplay is good

Why not both? I don’t see Dae-Hyun as a tank though and the request from me and OP was for another Korean tank hero. He seems more like a support.
This is the main kind of diversity I actually care about. I like to see people from all over the world represented. Culture and language are fascinating to me and I enjoy that.
Fair enough, and they have done a great job already at having heroes all over the place. So idc if they don’t pick xyz country, or the hero is from a country we already have etc.
I just really want D.Mon. I think Beast is a cool design and I’d love to see that in the game. And yeah, Korea is a big gaming country. It would be nice if they got more heroes too.
Don’t care at all where heroes are from, I just want fun heroes with cool kits. Another MEKA hero sounds fine as long as there’s some variance to what that MEKA can do. It shouldn’t just be Tokki repainted with a different pilot.

A more offensive meka than Dva.
Sure, there could be another mech/robotic tank, but the designs of Dva’s squad are just too fire to never be implemented (so that’s why I mentioned south korean specifically).

I think it’s because even the devs don’t even want this lol.
Apparently Dva’s coding is really complicated because of the de-mech mechanic, so they really don’t want to add another tank like her to the game.
It’s a pity. They teased the whole Meka squad so long ago, and we probably won’t get any of them at this point because of that. 
i’m still holding out hope for D.mon tho.
I don’t see why they wouldn’t add another S. Korean hero though. They already have 3 Japanese heroes from the same faction and at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if they added a 4th. Genji’s long lost twin or some mess.
They do have the other mechs already in the hanger on her map. But where she is the tank I think they fit more into the DPS and Support roles.
I’m sure they will save the D. team for a rainy day. They may not even know what they’re going to do with them just yet, but I’m certain all if not most of them will be different versions of tanks.
I hope the pilot dies with the mech for a little of variety, it doesn’t need to be 100% equal to Dva

Its ironic because last night, i just set-up my joystick on this small wooden table i bought and tried to play it on Mech Warrior Online (joystick wouldnt work). So i played it on Squadrons and it worked great!
I wish I could pilot D.Va with a joystick. That’d be Epic!
