What would you guys like to see done with Sombra's kit

i know she isnt strong statistically speaking, more super irritating to play against.

Just wondered if anyone had any cool ideas in mind, cant go wrong with a little theory crafting.

Remove virus, period!

Her old wall-hack passive was a lot more interesting than Virus existing to just be a bandaid for a mediocre gun.

Make it apply to any enemy recently damaged by her team, instead of it being tied to the enemy’s HP percentage.

Give Sombra her vaccination and then make her Uzi actually function like an Uzi and not some wack machine pistol with a glitched extended mag.

stealth should be a limited resource that you have to carefully manage.

yeah like hogs breather bar, would be cool and more balanced. more risk reward rather than just free value.

She needs to not have perma stealth. That’s the entire problem since it lets her pick perfect engages, stalk a support forever and spawn camp. All frustration comes from the perma stealth.

Put it on a cooldown with short duration and rebalance or rework the rest of her kit.

But how would that work in action? Lurking backline, stealth is about to go on cooldown, translocate further into enemy backline so you’re not spotted, sit doing nothing waiting for cooldown to end, back into stealth, hopefully not repeat?

I’m not asking for you to actually have a thought-out answer to this rework lol

Ideally? A return to OW1 hack and invis. The game never needed Tracer 2: Invisible Boogaloo.

It was not enough to make her a viable hero.

A DPS with wall hacks is useless without the ability to follow up on them. Thats why Widow/Hanzo get good use of the mechanic, but Sym sucks with it.

I think it would remove the lurking in the backline playstyle and that’s sort of the entire point. Nobody wants that to exist because it’s extremely unfun to play against and in lower ranks makes the hero seem useless to her own team due to the very long down time.

The rest of her kit would obviously need buffing or reworking to compensate.

Support Sombra. The one from Mirrorwatch.

i’m biased because I’m a support player and really miss playing with Sombra before role queue in OW1. But come on, a support hacker is such a cool idea!

Yea if they could force more of a front/mid fight rather than backline assassin, I’d be down

transform hack on a skilled hability… right now is almost like a sleep dart with auto aiming

on the majority of my matchs, sombra is played like a briggite, just stay near allieds and wait only to hack the enemy tank.

That’s what I’m thinking would be better. Nobody wants to deal with an invisible hero who can just wait to assassinate or hack somebody.

Less gimmicks, more mid fight power.

Blizz doesnt seem to want DPS that are this specifically. Look at how they treat Mei and Sym. A Sombra that is this would need to be either woefully overpowered to compete with kaiju tanks OR will be completely garbage.

Plus it doesnt make sense thematically for a hero that is literally a hacker spy.

No its not.

Also its supposed to counter both combat mobility and WASD spam. If it was a tiny projectile that could be juked, it would be practically worthless for that.

Unironically yes, this is what they need to do. The rework is a failure and she needs another one.

She should be reverted back to OW1 sombra.

But of course this conflicts with 5v5/solo tanking where hack becomes too strong. Shockingly, like pretty much all of OW2’s issues, the root of this one can be traced back to moving to 5v5.

yeah, ow1 sombra was never this bad. on occasion they would spawn camp poor doom when he was a dps, but i could live with that lmao.
