What would you change in this current meta?

As I’m pretty sure everyone on here knows, the current meta is pretty awful. So this made me wonder what would you change to make this meta better overall?

You can change anything you want, just give a reason to explain what you’d change.

Rebalance the whole tank roster to fit with 2-2-2.

Rebalance all of the DPS that were buffed during goats.

Oof that’s a really needed change, playing tank now feels like a death sentence

Hog - Revert his recent patch. The changes to Orisa and Sigma were enough to get rid of the double shield meta. Hog didn’t need a damage buff.

Dva - Change Mech health to 200 hp, 200 armor and 200 shields (changed from 400 hp and 200 armor). Giving Dva some shields lets her be alittle more self reliant while diving. If she takes damage while flying in to dive, if she can get to a safe spot or matrix incoming damage for long enough for the shields to regen, then she can get back to her team safer or stay longer on the dive.

Hampster - Grappling claw - swing speed buff changed to 80% (down from 100%) rolling speed buff changed to 16 mps (down from 18). Ball stall is just too strong. Swinging around the payload at supersonic speeds while being able to damage and boop anyone who gets near while also being able to pop your shield ability while swinging is bad for the game. Especially on last point on escort or payload maps. The defenders spawn is too close to be able to do that crap. I think just slowing down the speed at which he travels while swinging and the speed boost that you get from using the claw to get a roll speed boost would make him less oppressive in those situations.

Ashe - Ammo changed from 15 to 12. all of the other buffs that she got made her kit much more usable. The ammo increase was one of the early buffs that is arguably now not needed with the other changes in play.

Widow - Damage changed from 12 - 120 to 12 - 110. Widow should be able to still 1 shot most heroes with a fully charged headshot but the lower damage will make her a bit less effective at taking down tanks. A fully charged HS will now be 275 down from 300.

Brig - Shield Bash damage changed to 15 up from 5. With all the healing nerfs and hp nerfs can I just have a little bit of damage back on shield bash. I think this is reasonable. It was originally 50 damage and 15 still doesn’t hit any breakpoint for a bash/m1/whip shot combo to be able to insta kill a tracer or genji. They will still survive which gives them time to use their escape or get healing from their own supports.

I’d remove Orisa’s barrier.
At this point there’s no reason for the ability.

It appears, last for max 3 secs and nobody respect it, tanks just go past it while supports shoot to break it.
Give her 12 damage per bullet, Fortify hides critbox and replace the barrier with a sprint or dash/charge ability since she’s a Centaur and mobility could be a thing.
Or give her the sword the OR14 have:

Tbh I’ve always wanted Orisa to be able to slice people, it just seems cool and more intimidating.

I think anything that increases her movement speed at this point would be nice, at this point she has no oppressive abilities especially after the halt changes + she’s pretty much a horse, surely those 4 legs could go a bit faster.

Oo yes! At this point diving as D.Va feels clunky and awkward plus the damage taken whilst moving towards the dive target can be detrimental to D.Va surviving.

Really wish they just went ahead with that 1-3-2 Hog idea, that’s probably the closest we’re ever going to get to a tanky Hog, the current Overgrown Assassin DPS Hog just feels too oppressive.

Definitely! The fact WB boops you off the payload/objective makes him more oppressive especially in Overtime. Although he moves in a highly predictable pattern, he moves fast even if he doesn’t reach his max speed which makes him harder to hit so a claw/swing movement reduction would be good.

Ashe’s kit is pretty strong so I think an ammo nerf would be nice, it wouldn’t massively hurt Ashe as a hero all it really means is the player has to either reload way more, or just be more careful with their shots.

Shields won’t help D.Va without more armor as well. Her play style doesn’t allow her to back off and wait for the shield regen without her completely leaving the fight. Zarya has her right click and her ally bubble, both of which can be effective at range while her shields recharge. A D.Va hiding while shields regen may as well be dead for all the help they can be in a fight.

I’d honestly rework the entire main tank class. Rework Sigma into a proper off tank, save Orisa, and make Rein less about his shield, and more about being a brawling freight train. Maybe also make Winston less reliant on his second tank to stop him being insta-deleted.

Buff Orisa so she’s actually a Main Tank again, Buff Symmetra and Sombra, Slightly nerf Roadhogs Damage, Slight nerf to Ashe(preferably reduce her clip to 12 ammo).
