What would make you stop playing Overwatch indefinitely?

Or, alternatively, what would make you play Overwatch less?

I’ve stated before what makes Overwatch less enjoyable for me nowadays (simply put, I found better games to invest my time into), but I’m curious about you guys.

If the game became boring i guess. After all the change this game went through it’s still fun to play.

If they managed to ruin supports as a class somehow.

At the moment, I’m happy to hop into QP and pick any one of them. Yes, some are stronger than others, but I can still have a blast with Bap, despite him not being the favoured son at the moment.

They’d have to do something major to screw it all up, imo.

If OW2’s PvE is boring. I’ve been an arcade main since 2017, but if the PvE is lame, I’ll just drop Overwatch and go back to Quake or something.

I’ve been playing a lot less since tank nerfs and 2-2-2 hit.
Now I play casually until Overwatch 2 launches.

I would say 1-3-2 would be the trigger to get me to quit or at least play way less. Btw miss ya buddy

Reverting role queue. It saved the game for me. Likewise if 1-3-2 becomes the norm. But I’d like it as an arcade mode.

There are times when the game gets stale for me, be it because of the meta not changing or simply me playing so much I get burnt out. I’ve taken months off from the game and come back loving it more than ever. I think that’s natural.

It’s a video game and you should only play it if you’re having fun, and with new games coming out all the time, spending time jumping from game to game can actually make you enjoy all the games more, in my experience.

As for something that makes me stop playing Overwatch indefinitely, I’m not certain. Perhaps if they removed role queue. Now that they’ve added it, I don’t think I could enjoy the chaos of what the game used to be. I’d probably give it a try, but I have a feeling it’d be the death knoll for the game for me.

My playtime dropped off after i realized Sym is worse designed than she was and i realized how much i missed her old form.

The rework or “re-balance” of any of the current 8 Tank heroes into DPS. Unless backed with the addition of another two new tank heroes.

The tank role has already been getting the short end of the stick, if they honestly think it’s better to rework one of the current tanks into a DPS instead of reworking him / her into a better tank. Then I have no time for this game…

Micro-transactions and actual RNG elements that are overbearing to competitive play.

Even the community won’t stop me.

If they put 1-3-2 in the game, brought back mass rez, reverted role queue, made the matchmaking even more lenient, started catering balance changes towards low tiers, kept rein always meta intentionally, added another hero that was as broken as Brig 1.0 or even Sigma 2.0 in the game without heavy nerfs within 2 weeks; or if they decided to merge off-tanks into the damage category

1-3-2 would be that thing for me. If people enjoy it, then fine, of course. But that’s not for my liking, it’s just way too chaotic.
