What were the devs thinking with Brig?

Whaaaat the helll were they thinking giving a HEALER/SUPPORT 400HP. A STUN. A 600HP SHIELD.

Like, this game is starting to get ridiculous.

And only melee range, and being actually crappy at healing.

Only effective at close range.
Only gets 400HP when she uses her ultimate (you know those thing meant to be game changing)
Heals less and has to be close to her team to do any significant healing.
A 600Hp shield (rather easy to tear through)

She’s fine.

Naaaaaaah, she needs a nerf. Unnecessary character
 Why is a support class effective against flank? Seems really stupid to me. Shouldn’t that be a DEFENSE class job? I cant
 I reallllly cant.

Lately, Blizzard seems to be yoloing updates with this game.

And people always bring up her range, her poor healing
 Blah blah. Yeah her healing sucks but thats not what I was complaining about. Hes a SUPPORT WITH A STUN AND A 600 SHIELD. Thats effectively 1000HP on a hero with heals. Ana has her sleep, but thats a JOKE compared to Brig’s stun.

Funny how a shield that protects only in front of you turns into an additional HP. I have no idea why I can get one shot with scatter on my 1300 HP Orisa or how anyone could kill my 2500 HP Reinhardt.

I don’t understand the “She shouldn’t have a shield because she’s a support!”

Then why can Soldier heal himself and others? Or Sombra hack health packs for her whole team? Or Torbjörn give armor? The classes are not clean-cut with regards to abilities and designs.

How they could make any non-skilled support mains happy, since they nerfed the go to ez healer Mercy they had to add a hero that can do everything while requiring little to no skill to be useful. That is what Blizzard was thinking. Pandering to the fans that refuse to improve mechanics in any way shape or form.

She’s a support/tank hybrid, actually. Also, even ignoring the fact that a shield =/= larger healthpool, 250 + 600 = 850, not 1000.

Ok, how about this, If I shoot her with an AoE that does 50 splash damage does she have 950 health remaining? No?

What about if you happen to stick a pulse bomb from behind on her does that mean she’s still alive? No?

A damage boosted widow sitting on the top of a high ledge with Brigitte holding her shield non angled. She can tank a shot in the head without dying because she has 1000 HP right? No?

How about any other angle that the shield does not cover, I guess she still have effectively 1000 HP so she’s tanking all the damage.

For a diamond player, you sure complain a lot instead of adapting and finding ways to kill her effectively. That’s what skill is all about, right?

Ohhhhh, but people could complain about Sombra and look what happened to that. Didnt give players a chance to adapt to her

They were thinking they wanted an off tank support.

They wanted her to be able to act like a tank and make space.

They choose the hog model of makeing space which is, you have to respect the area she makes.

They realised that giving her damage to do so would be too much, so they gave her stun instead of hogs damage from his left / right clicks.

They also reduced the space she could create vs hog.

They gave her a shield rather than hogs health.

They gave her the healing of Zen, their dps/support hybrid, since they expected a dps / support hybrid would balance the same as a tank support / hybrid.

That is what they were thinking.

Not in the tank category. Regardless, if she’s a “hybrid”. She is a support first and a tank second.

If she was in the Tank category, without her self heal, I would not be complaining.

I do think she is more tank than support.

They should have put her in the tank space, and said - there is that healing tank you’all wanted.

Her self healing is pathetic, I’d leave it on.
