Not so coincidentally, it’s that tanks who counter the most other tanks: Zarya and Orisa.

Zarya. Orisa has many underrated counters.
That’s a hard thing to judge if we’re talking about all roles. If it’s just which tanks counter which other tanks, that’s easier to judge.
For me it seems to be Winston.
For tanks that do counter Winston: Hog, Doom, and Mauga are still pretty nasty if not checked by teammates. Sigma, JQ, and Rein are a coin toss. The rest seem have a slight disadvantage, unless the other player (or their team) is better enough to overcome it.
For Damage against Winston: Reaper and Bastion still cause me to play much more defensively, but the recent armor changes make Winston able to survive a little longer. Junkrat is the biggest power shift, and currently the strongest damage hero against Winston, imo. The rest are Winston food. I’ve even had success against Tracer, Sombra, Echo, and Pharah who often will disable my entire team otherwise.
All of the supports are Winston food.
This is in a vacuum, of course, lol. So many other variables apply. I am generalizing.
Sigma. This guy counters no one and is countered by no one.

I’m weirdly with you on this one.
Winston doesn’t really have much that supports can do to stop him, half can’t even attempt to escape. His bubble makes it very difficult to put damage on him, even with flanking. His mobility means that the slower, more tank-busty heroes don’t get a chance to fully lay into him if the Winston is smart with their disengages.
He’s not OP, but he’s certainly a sleeper pick. Makes playing support miserable.

I would say orisa, but then they go zarya then it is game set and match, and if you can’t beat zarya vs zarya… trash rein is the next best thing, then they go orisa and you start all over again…
Mauga. I love running over to Ana and just shredding her. If the Kiri is stupid, she will tele. Then she is done next.
90% of Ana players will sleep into his charge.
winston, he’s the only thing that can counter good meis and good reaper duos
he has trouble against hog and dva for sure but he isnt forced to stay in the duel, biggest reason they counter him is that they can follow him where he jumps to

While you are likely right, if we want to answer the question about “the tank who has the least amount of counters” it is probably Sigma. Especially because his most effective counter is one of the least played hero. Symmetra
So to say that he dosn’t have a counter is just false, Symmetra eats him alive.
The barrier is basicly food delivery, she pierces through Grasp and she can teleport into Sigma’s face which favors Sym heavily due to her small hitbox and the clunkyness of Sigmas primary in close range combat especially under pressure.
I would say its one of the few DPS vs Tank duel that is very heavily favors the DPS.
Clown world in this thread, winston is the easiest tank to hard counter.

Idk sym isn’t even that bad a matchup. Yeah she can beam through you but also you just rock her and she gets rolled so it’s not much of a counter. Soft counter if that
Sigma doesn’t really have any specifically terrible matchups. He has bad comp matchups but at that point your team should also be helping you so it’s a wash

Yeah I agree, winston is very easy to counter. In every role.
Every tank has counterplay. Maybe one can say Sig doesn’t but, imo, Zar and
especially Monkey can make his life really hard, so I don’t totally agree. I would say Rein is a bad matchup, but only really with a lucio. If Rein doesnt have speed boost then thats not a terrible fight to take.
But I’m not sure any tank has no counters. I don’t thats the case in this game.

Dva is weak to beams, ball/ Winton/ doom are weak to cc, rein is weak to long range burst damage, sigma is weak to close range brawl, hog/ mauga are weak to ana and junkerqueen is weak to high damage bursts, cleanses, slows and anti, Zaryas only weakness is the enemy team having a brain and not shooting her bubbles arguably Winston and rein but they can be counter by other enemies incredibly easily.

No, Sigma is simply the least vulnerable tank against Bastion. He does not wreck Bastion in any way.
Zarya probably. She is just made to punish the enemy attacking. Hard to win if you are not attacking really so, technically her.
