So I always get bullied for my border. I get really depressed over it. What should I do? I can’t afford to buy a new account or think I should need to.
Bullying is the reason why most people are getting frustrated playing Overwatch, no one likes to be picked on just because they rank high, they have good looking skins, they have gold weapons or they play one specific hero etc. In your case the border.
If you try to fight back the only thing that will happen is you getting mass spam reported for abusive chat.
I would advise buying a new account tbh, more specifically on some other platform if you can. But as you said you can’t afford a new one then I guess that takes it out of the question.
I know you probably wouldn’t ask but had I known you personally or for long I would have bought you one myself, but I can’t trust strangers too easily.
I know, it just is unfortunate. I stopped playing since yesterday, I only logged in just to see if I get any warning messages again but things look fine for now.
Gonna avoid playing for a bit, I don’t want any more toxicity in my life tbh.
Mute or /hidechat is the best you can do I’m afraid. And report.
Don’t play competitive if you are that unstable.
Literally only advice i can give you.

Just report em, mute em, block em. let Blizzard sort it out.
That’s multiple people every game -_-.
And? I report tons of people every day, almost every match. Pretty sure it’s not the first instance that they were toxic to another individual if they have to resort to bullying you over a border.

If you don’t like someone’s comments - mute them.
This is a video game, your border means nothing once you turn off your pc.
Report abusing is also sad, Reported. Grow some chest hair.
It’s not report abusing if they are actively bullying this individual.
Just reply “Not everyone can make it to GM, mkay?”

I have a diamond border, and I’m stuck in gold because I’m old and bad at the game lol. You can imagine the amount of insults I receive, literally every single game. Blizzard doesn’t want to fix the problem, because they know some people will just buy a new account when they can’t take it anymore. Also, they cut overhead costs by not adding additional projects to programming budget. So basically, the more people insult high leveled players, the better Blizzard ends up financially lol.
Report and ignore. That’s the only thing you can do. Fighting back just gets you false report bombed. Sad as it is.
