A lot of people have many different ideas right now that go from reworking to a tank to just nerfing inspire and buffing her survivability. What do you think should be done about her tho?
I think they should remove the healing on repair pack and instead just have armor go over the HP pool. In turn maybe buff her inspire a little bit. Something like that, basically less armor pack/pocket spam and more high-risk playstyle.
Introduce more appreciable windows of failure her kit.
Adjusting her numbers, as she is mechanically- will just result in an anemic to play hero- who is probably still strong in the grand scheme of the meta.
Revert her armor pack to pre-rework. Buff her utility if she’s too weak. Problem with Brig right now is that she has decent utility for an off support while also having main healer levels of healing that is double the amount Lucio, Zen and Mercy can push out. Also, consider that Mercy has to focus all of her kit on one person for 55 hps, but Brig can do 76 hps while looking at her teammate for half a second. GOATS Brig had similar levels of healing to other supports while having broken utility. There was no need to buff her healing to ‘‘make her more in tune’’ with other supports when half of those were healing just as much as her
I really don’t want her reworked into a tank (or reworked at all) but her healing is definitely the issue since she’s able to pocket her whole team while at the same time doing other things. I guess they could start with that, nerf her inspire to what it used to be before it was buffed when she was reworked.
There’s a point where this is true, but if Inspire’s not-self HPS was brought down it wouldn’t change too much about how Brig feels to play because of how uninvolved it is. Especially if Whip didn’t trigger Inspire, but instead gave her some other benefit, like 1s off Repair’s CD.
Agreed ^^ her repair pack is long range autoaim through shields, her inspire is autoaim, flail is easy to land, shield bash is easy to land. Whipshot is the only really skillful mechanic in her kit and yet sadly doesn’t feel to be the most rewarding.
Maybe if they remove healing from repair packs like Drow said, and buff inspire it’ll reward proccing it with Whipshot more.
If they remove healing on repair packs and just buffed inspire to 25-30 HPS, she would actually be on par with Lucio/Zen in terms of off-support healing (I don’t go by pro definition of off support).
The issue is she can stack Inspire on Repair pack and do 77 HPS, which is the highest of any off support from a consistency viewpoint.
Quite literally the opposite what has been done so far. Repair pack shouldn’t heal, instead it grants 75 HP of over-health (not armor). This breaks the threshold for one-shots but it doesn’t heal nor has damage mitigation for sustained damage.
Alternatively, could look into making Inspire an aura instead of a proc’ed effect and make it so only activates when Brig has her shield up - meaning she can’t multi-task as hard as she can now.
Well yeah, that’s the problem, her healing is too way, whether that’s due to her cooldowns or passive. She’s an off support with great utility, therefore she should heal less, just like every other off support
Maybe make her inspire an actual aura? A big problem with her is that allies hit by inspire keep it for 6 seconds no matter what, whether that be a Genji diving in or a shield blocking them. Inspire should work just like Lucio’s aura and follow the same rules
