I’m in god awful silver and down here, he’s a god. Completely untouchable. It feels like when the game first launched and nobody knew how to play the game. When I played in plat, he was never a problem, but down here in silver, he’s a menace.
Yes I’m salty. So salty.
But I know everyone in silver is s*** anyway so I was wondering what he’s like in higher ranks (not that it matters it’s not like I’ll ever get back there). Can people actually counter him or is he still a pain in the a**? Are all us silver players just so trash or is he a problem for people who can actually play the game too?
He can wreck it or get wrecked. If your team cant adjust he will mop the floor with them

They’re pretty bad in higher ranks. They get worse the higher you go up.

Low diamond / high Plat is a toss up. Sometimes he’ll stomp. Sometimes he’ll get stomped. Most success I’ve seen from Bastion’s is usually when a player uses Bastion for Round 2’s after both teams capped payloads.

Easily to kill just run a ana , or junk or phara or yeh list keeps going.
He is very bad atm, hanzo kills him before he can get out of turret mode.

Want a tip to break bastion at silver?
Symmetra.
Your right click will force him to move or die. You have your own photon barrier to shoot at him while you do this. You don’t need to rely on team coordination to disrupt the enemy bastion comp.

I’ve been in diamond for about maybe a week - 2 weeks. He’s still really strong, but only in specific scenarios.
Here’s a fun little tip for taking out Bastion nests: go Junkrat and kamikaze yourself onto the Bastion. Your death grenades will clean him right up

I think they mean average, which is gold and plat.
Like gold, plat, diamond. I know the players in silver are bad so I wanted a reference point for normal people.
What’s bastion like at normal elo?
Useless. He can work on Route 66, Junkertown and Gibraltar attack until someone picks a counter. Since most games have Hanzo and Junkrat, Bastion is usually dead after 20 seconds and switches off.
Average is mid gold, but people regularly allow horrendous mistakes to go unpunished until mid diamond.
Kind of depends on the players on the teams… if those in his team can coordinate he has potential, if they don’t… he’s pretty much useless.
If the enemy team can coordinate and work together, he’s useless most of the time.
If they can’t , he’s still god.
Diamond level.
Pick Tracer and go gun him a bit and pulse bomb him (bomb alone no longer kills him after the nerf. Wait for Zarya to use bubble if she’s around. Not sure if silvers bubble pulse bombs.)
Genji and hop around over him as you throw shuriken (It’s silver. Nobody can look up in silver. You could probably press E and he would die.)
Symmetra orbs go through barriers
Orisa pull him off the cart
Mei push him up and over Orisa shield (requires teamwork to kill him)
Can’t tracer for s*** but I can sym or Orisa! Only thing anyone does to protect bastion is throw an Orisa shield down and Rez when he dies, which you’d think would be easy to counter, but evidently it’s not. Most bastion don’t move though, even when they’re low health, they just sit and heal themselves.
I can usually get him low before his team descends on me, but I can never count on my team to follow up. They want the bastion dead but they all want someone else to do it ¯_(ツ)_/¯
