What rework would you prefer for Sombra?

Invisible assassin with no silences?

Or

A full Hacker character who can cripple ability-focused targets, with no invis?

Full Hacker.

Invisible and assassin is someting i despise as a combination.

Fair enough, plus I think it’d be better to have a hacker Sombra because she has a niche no one else does.

Being another assassin who is invisible instead of teleporting or double jumping is just kinda boring.

Just copy and paste Invisible Woman or make a Loki-inspired kit (without the ult on cooldown, of course)

Neither. I want something more like “Sombra:76” - able to play in plain sight without exploding (thanks, 225 HP) and with current Hack and Virus, but little to no invis. She’d still have the teleport from Translocator for mobility. The idea being that she still gets value from her current abilities and damage, with buffs to uzi and survivability where needed.

Invisible assassin and professional crippler are both horrible to play into.

Basically had this same thread last week so I’ll just reiterate

No further reworks….undo the previous unnecessary one…she never needed to be turned into a “stealth assassin”

As a hacker perhaps she can cripple abilities or mimic ones from teammates…

Instead of stealth she could use a disguise (call it Trojan) to look like a teammember… you know the TF2 spy? She comes in from behind (backdoor) and do crit dmg when near.

Stealthy Assassin needs to go

Full Hacker, with Invis

Just throw anything at the wall and hope it sticks at this point.

For instance, I’d like to see this in game.

She’s good as is… she’s been good but she gets changed so much cause of ppl that lack skill against her

I also agree that removing junkrat would be healthy for the game

That’s a weird way of writing 500 compensation buffs for Freya.

If I had to choose between the two, it would be this one.

Because I can think of nothing I would hate more than

Neither, because she’s fine

Realistically, full stealth assassin is more functional of those options but it wouldn’t be Sombra anymore. Hack wouldn’t really work without stealth and a significantly stronger Hack really isn’t an option in 5v5 and certainly would never be accepted by the community.

So I say neither. I’d much rather go the support hacker route.

I want her to have permanent invisibility, no CD on translocator, and a longer duration for all hack and virus effects

I really love for Sombra to be as obnoxious as possible to others

And i’d hate to be deleted from invisibility.
That’s just as frustrating as having an aimbotting widow repeatedly killing you from the enemy spawn.

Perma invis sombra was perfect in my opinion. Dmg low enough to not outright delete you. A smidge of gamesense allowing you to reveal her and foil her plans.
But still deadly enough in the right hands to be valuable.

Personally they could have nerfed the virus a bit more and given her at least a 2 second silence on hack.

Sombra shouldn’t be useful because of lethality. That doesn’t fit her and was never the point of her design.

But I don’t understand where people get the idea that they want an invisible mini-nuke in the game when they’re already complaining now?

The duration of Hack has to match Sombra’s own time-to-kill, otherwise the effect is pointless! That’s also the reason why Hack in OW1 never went below 5 seconds—because that was Sombra’s calculated average time-to-kill in OW1. If Hack is shorter than the time-to-kill, it breaks the foundation of the kit—something that’s never been done for any other hero—and forces compensatory buffs. Sombra at the start of OW2 with chain-Hack showed that pretty clearly!

Anything that doesn’t include invisibility the way it is now. It’s just too much of a wildcard.

Either Sombra gets peeled and is a laughably easy kill, or she doesn’t get peeled and pulls off cheap support kills.

Which is exactly why i’m arguing against having an invisible assassin.
