I’ve heard of aim bots and wall hacks (allows to see where players are behind walls) but are their hacks that can change other attributes like increase rate of fire? Increase damage reduction? Adjust your hit box?
I ask because I’ve notice some hero’s being really hard to hit, or kill at times when others I was able to deal with them. Or a Phara having an insane fire missile rate as if she were nano-ed by Ana, but is not.

The game uses a system where the entire match is played on a server. the client only shows a video. Thats why when you’re lagging, you rubber band. Its the server correcting your players position repeatedly while you keep trying to move it.
Blizzard most likely has rules in place in that anything that doesn’t work as intended, just doesnt register, and the game proceeds as if it never happened.
So unless you hack their servers, theres nothing more than client side hacks.
Aim hacks, including ones that set a certain percent of shots to miss and ones that can be toggled on and off. These extend to pretty much every hero, even ones you would not expect like Torb.
There are scripted macros that can automate things like animation cancels (when they were more of a thing), Doomfist combos (weaving handcannon shots in automatically) and stuff like one button double conc jumping with Junkrat.
There’s various ESP-style hacks that let you see outlines through walls, see health bars, give you an audio-visual warning if someone puts crosshairs on you, make the sounds of things louder and silence other audio so combat noise doesn’t drown certain things out. Also very minor hacks like making everyone appear to you in their default skin and silencing voiceline spam.
Stuff like that.

Both client and server have the information and what client does is attempt to extrapolate what is going to happen next. However, sometimes it fails and then it’s when server takes over

Not really, because I’ve been seeing some questionable things like high rates of fire from players. It makes me wonder, and I would not be surprised if there are other hacks.
It’s like Blizzard has an impossible task in finding them.
