From what I know, if you’re a Hog player since day 1, that is unlikely to change. lol People not playing Hog or getting off him because he keeps getting so many buffs/nerfs. Hog players are one of the only dedicated chars I can say people will play regardless.

Except those aren’t real 1v1’s. Tell me, in a duel with two Widows where one Widow who is getting peels from a Mercy and a personal Sigma shield, vs a Widow who is getting no help from her team truly a 1v1 lol? Because the majority of the time in low ranks, skill doesn’t decide the 1v1. A widow under high pressure will almost always lose against a Widow with low pressure. It’s almost always how much help one Widow gets over the other. The only true 1v1 scenario is if all five of each Widows’ teammates are dead.
My controversial opinion is that this is way better than 1 tricking.
I like outplaying people on tank. Ex eating ults as dva, blocking shatters, and having good bubbles. Other than that screw playing tank

Spamming voice lines never bothered me. Especially if it’s Junkrat’s (obviously- as a fangirl lmao) and most recently Doomfist’s new voice lines. Groan all you like over how you think it doesn’t suit him, it made me like his character more. He LOVES his dumplings and hot cocoa!!! (Is there an official Doom mug yet? There should be.)
Mccree is by far the most unskillful, handicapped character in this entire game. He makes Moira look difficult in comparison.
How you can think otherwise is beyond me. when 98% of his kit is just handicapped as F. Aimbot ult, m1 with no recoil or spread, m2 that takes no mechanical skill whatsoever, roll to reload, and CC that is literally harder to miss with than hit. Oh, and whack an extra 25HP on him that invalidates bad positioning when any one of his supports is paying attention to him.

Brig was exactly what the Top 500 community was asking for at the time: a meta-changing hero that would counter Tracer. It’s not Team 4’s fault that they immediately got buyer’s remorse.
Those of us who were arguing for Tracer nerfs in 2018 but were shouted down because ‘Tracer shouldn’t be nerfed, she’s a high skill hero - she should just have a counter instead’ saw it coming but our opinions didn’t count because we weren’t Twitch streamers or YouTubers.

I can see the appeal of smurfing (in QP) because sometimes I wanna chill or I’ve had a few and I’d like to not be put in a game full of masters and gms with people complaining if I’m not sweating. But tbh when I’m on the other end I don’t wanna queue with those players.
A chill queue would be impossible to maintain (maybe that’s just OQ lmao) so I see why people smurf. Not that I condone it.

25HP doesn’t actually affect a hero’s HTK thresholds except in a handful of situations. The hero isn’t massively buffed by 25HP, you’re just bad.
Why do you people love to do this kind of thing?
My most unpopular controversial opinion: the whole McCree name change was a stupid move that wasted time and energy and changed nothing and probably didn’t even make the people asking for it feel any better. People should be expected to parse their feelings for a video game character apart from a real person that shares a name that was given simply because it sounded good, that was it. Functioning adults in the past would easily have done this but this soft culture enablement is reaching profound depths.
Hard to say which of my opinions is most controversial, as many of them are to these forums.

If a combination of 2 Tank heroes invalidated half of the Damage role the way that Hanzo and Echo currently invalidate half the Tank role, we wouldn’t hear the end of it.
