Launch Brigitte was almost perfectly balanced. The only fix she needed was 1) nerfing Rally to 75 armor cap (like Sym’s Shield Gen), 2) make shields block her Shield Bash (no self-knockback on bash against other charge moves was a bug, IMO), and 3) move her to the tank role.
If they just fixed those three things, she would be perfectly balanced for the meta at the time.
Honestly, I kind of agree. I think you’d have to buff her repair packs or maybe not? She could just be a pure peel hero but then she might be too weak. I kinda liked the experimental violet did though. Half the problem with brig is she can peel and heal passively all at the same time while also stacking heal with repair packs.

He definitely hasn’t ever been op I think it just comes down to people feeling cheated by getting one shot. Same reason people don’t like flashbang fan the hammer. That’s not to say it’s easy for doom to get those one shots assuming the enemy team isn’t braindead, or doom gets a ton of resources to engage, but regardless.

Ana was the worst hero addition in the game and you can trace the escalation of burst damage and dumb levels of sustain to her kit.

The reduced damage for tanks in the EXC was too big but still a good move in the right direction.

The only way for the game to really get more balanced is more roles. Splitting tank and support into two roles each would drastically improve the flow of the game.

I’m not in the movement as it was a big topic long ago.
May be spicy, but anyone who genuinely thinks the game developed in a good direction clearly has very limited standards as to what a good online game is, or they just play very few online games in general.
Especially tank players who have still stuck around. What kind of masochism do you have that the destruction of almost every tank’s “tankiness” isn’t enough to drive you away?

This game isn’t Call Of Duty, people need to stop pushing it into that direction, many of the problems in the game have come about because the devs focused on the shooter elements of the game instead MMO/MOBA elements, which is why Non fps characters like Rat or Torb or Genji are either garbage or godly at some point that aren’t tanks, I think it’s cuz of brig since post brig everyone stopped playing dive and that through everything off cuz now Hitscans are good against basically everything and no one is willing to play dice to counter like an ash or widow, they’d rather just mirror and it’s sooo sad

Genji is still just a little overtuned. He’s outclassed by other broken Dps, but he is overtuned

You’re spitting facts but that D.Va would be so bad in modern Overwatch. She wouldn’t be able to kill anything due to lack of burst damage and heal creep.

Mei, Brig, and Torb were never “problematic” they just had playstyles and counterstrategies that people found annoying and would rather have them removed.

D.Va players in Silver - Gold are consistently awful and instantly make the match 5v6. Regardless of account level, it’s as if they just bought and downloaded the game for the first time.
They never talk either…
at least not in team text chat or match text chat. I don’t ever join voice, so they are either screaming on the mic or just existing in their own little worlds.
I want to pick their brains. I want to be a fly on their particle board desktop. sipping flat Mountain Dew nectar as I watch them sleep through my thousand fly eyes.

Game should be balanced in a way, so even 5 drunk players on team can work out. Instead of “1 player screws up and everything goes downhill”. Need to be realistic about quality of players playing your game, for once.
Balance should be done in opposite direction - first you make fun mechanic, then you add restrictions and exceptions for situations, that are exclusive to pros(not other way around).
Shooting is NOT most interesting part of FPS and should NOT be forced on every role.
Focus on defensive abilities is NOT a bad thing, as outliving enemy is an option.
More like most people do not want to do EVERYTHING for the sake of winning. Myself included - I am here to heal and buff and that’s what I would be doing. Not shooting enemies myself, if teammates happen to fail in that even with buffs on them.
It would be no fun, even if I won.
