What is your favourite secondary, not-Overwatch game?

…Or your favourite game that doesn not happen to be Overwatch?
Dd you find it before or after Overwatch?
Why is that your favourite game?
Was the transition from/to Overwatch easy?

You guys can’t know that, so I will tell you directly, I am a Suzerain.
By which I mean, I play the game Suzerain.

Suzerain, according to Wikipedia (and my own experience), is a Goverment/Politics Simulation, text-based visual novel. You can play as a president of one country, then later as King of another country.
It’s mainly about reading text and then choosing options via dialogue, there are some visual aids like graphs so you can understand better how e.g. your economy is doing, how people look like. And you get a whole lot of lore and news to read for flavour.
Of course, your decisions are mostly carrying grave consequence for world, country and family, many moments in the game are quite thrilling and immersive, for text-game standards.
You will face many challenges, like navigating opposing political systems, quelling civil unrest and belligerent foreign powers, keeping your people safe, reforming an outdated constitution, as well as recovering a broken economy and welfare/education system, maybe even setting your nation up for new greatness in the world, while always having a family breathing down your neck.

Aside from the overall positive feedback and awards, it even got some politival recognition from High Politics.

Or some feedback from Downing Street 10
How about an Albanian W?

This shouldn’t be an open advertisement, so I’ll leave it at that. But I believe you can see how much praise I have for that game.
So, I found it completely randomly (April 2025) and far after I found Overwatch (July 2019). I’m not sure how, maybe I was just bored, skimmed an app store, picked it up and kept it ever since. I always had an interest for politics, but never for text-based games. Or so I thought.
There is no other connection from Overwatch - these two games are extremely far apart in every aspect. That only solidifies the narrative of how I even could find this game??
It’s free on mobile, if you wanna try it. It has ads, but not those annoying pop-up ads.

I was gonna nominate Monster Hunter Wilds, but that game really lost its glow once I played it through. The only thing I can do there is looking at my handsome hunter and hunting the same old monsters. I’ve already done everything I could do.

I think fortnite took over OW as my main game like 3yrs ago but I pretty much stopped playing OW in October. Same time I quit smoking that stuff. Coincidence? I started playing WoW in July and it’s my main game now. Funny cause I basically do 5-person team high rank grinding content solo as a support like I did in OW but it’s PVE this time in WoW.

Prolly Warframe. Been playing it off-and-on-gain for, what, nearly a decade now?

Overwatch is my main ‘online multiplayer’ game. I tried valorant and rivals, but they’re both uninstalled right now.

If I’m not in the mood for OW, I usually just play single player games I’m emulating. I’m getting ready replay some old Gamecube and DS titles.

If not those, then whatever Steam titles are sitting in my backlog. The last ‘new’ game I finished was Expedition 33. Definitely looking forward to an eventual NG+ run on that game.

I don’t really have one because I flit through my library as the mood takes me.

I bought Lies of P: Overture when it came out, I dunno, a month ago. I played it through a couple of times with a new profile. It’s a Souls-like, basically. It was fun (for the most part) but there’s not a whole load of replayability left for me in it at this point, so I probably won’t boot it up again for a fair while, when I hopefully forget where all the enemies are squatting and what they do.

When I’m chilling out I’m currently playing Factorio, which is basically a strategy game where you build up your base and attempt to survive until you can build yourself a spaceship and get the heck off the bug-ridden planet. It’s pretty cool…

Dead by Daylight, my original game.

The only problem is, there’s a sensitivity bug making it unplayable right now and they ruined most of the fun in it around 2022. I’m still attached to it but nothing like before.

probably tf2 (special mention for tf2classic) i’d say. still feels good to me even today to just rocket jump around and look for midairs on soldier

Team Fortress 2, will always be the best game ever in my eyes, if you weren’t there during it’s prime you simply don’t understand. It showed what a shooter could be, I have 3000 hours in it, no other game even close to that amount. Overwatch is what I like now, but Team Fortress will always be the most important game to me.

Ive played hundreds if not thousands of games - but I’m guessing you mean favourite multiplayer game that you have to be trapped in eternally… despite it being bad for your mental health and wasting countless hours of your life unlike normal games which you play through, beat and appreciate them for what they are…

I used to play a lot of ARK survival evolved… and I mean a lot. The game concept is absolute gold, but the devs and the way the game has been handled makes aaron kellar and his team of money grubs look like absolute saints…

a nightmare dev story if there ever was one, sued into bankruptsy, purchased by a shady chinese company, forced to do almost everything and anything for money.

Those early days though, when the game was still in early access were some of the best gaming memories I have… and also some of the worst. Great Survival game ruined by cheaters and incompetent sellout devs.

Currently probably FragPunk and honestly the way things have been the last couple months with the super long to get into games issues with the combination of bad queue hero bans and map voting it’s actually probably my main now. OW kinda killed itself for me the last few months sadly. Was my favorite, now it’s about 3rd behind AimLabs of all things.

OW2 and Fortnite are the two games I keep up with. For a good number of years there Fortnite was just about the only thing I played, until my buddy convinced me to give OW2 another shot in S16.

I would kind of like to get back into WoW, but it’s a time and money thing. And between FN and OW2, with battlepasses, events and FOMO, it’s already got my plate full much of the time.

I did play WoW for a few months last Fall around this time, and I was digging the last expansion. I also got into the Anniversary event and got some cool stuff from it.

If they added WoW to XBOX I might ne more inclined to play again, since my PC has trouble running games well.

Team Fortress 2 and GTA Online. I haven’t logged into OW2 since S18 dropped because im busy with either previously mentioned game.

Genshin is my favorite live service game of all time. I am about to take a break from Overwatch to play Nodkrai. I doubt anything will ever reach these peaks.

I suppose Mahvel is my secondary game now that Overwatch woke up. But once Mahvel responds… I am not sure anymore. I will probably go back because at the end of the day, Marvel characters have way more interesting lore and their kit designs are more engaging on average and they drop them once a month.
