Do they just LIKE losing? I am sick and tired of teammates costing matches by going DPS Hog & Hammond instead of real Tanks like Rein & Zarya(just one example).
Those people have no business playing QP & Arcade if they dont want to win. And before anyone says it, there’s nothing casual about those modes. There’s always Comp tryhards there. These terrible teammates always have this dumb “Its just QP/Arcade mindset”, even though the other team has a Comp Doomfist player and that person alone is whooping their a**es.
Which brings me to the VS AI part, these people want to mess about, when VS AI can let them do that, but they deliberately ignore it. It needs to ne on the Play screen, and buffed a bit. For Honor has AI play exactly like real players(that game isn’t frustrating at all due to that),. Overwatch needs such a mode.
Zarya & DVA are defenders, they should be in the Tank category.
And Moira, Ana, Lucio & Zen are just DPS, they should be in Damage, but that category should have those Attack & Defense categories back, and split all thise4 characters.
Honestly, I have to agree. Vs. AI was where I used to practice heroes, but even on hard mode, the bots there are so unadaptive that it’s easy to think I’m better than I really am
While Blizzard probably has bigger things on their plate, I think a tweak to the AI would be pretty neat!
Its not a joke. DVA & Zarya arent shield-less and dont have so much survivability solo like Hog & Hammond. Zarya used to be a DPS like those two, but she had a damage nerf.
DVA & Zarya are actual Tanks, they shouldn’t be moved to such a category & cause the Tank category to have even less options than it already does.
Oh, and queue times for this would still take forever when it comes to DPS.
I’m less concerned about the survival of the tank player, rather than how much of a handicap it is to have a team with a barrier to up against a team without a barrier.
We’d be better off with games that don’t have that element of randomness to “losing the match at the initial hero select screen”.

Here is one example of today where we after we lost the first round I changed from Zarya to Road to counterpicking, when we lost as Rein+Zarya vs Hammond+Winston(to all the meta slaves out there). And in the end we won. What I’m trying to say the player makes the hero into “3dr DPS of the team” not the hero.
But my point is that DVA & Zarya, who have team-defending shields, should stay in the Tank category. You said your idea is meant to stop double shields, but if DVA & Zarya are in this Bruiser category with their team-defending shields intact, then there’d still be double shields.
No, the character’d design makes them a DPS. Hog & Hammond are designed to be op damage dealers that dont need pocketing. They’re not designed to be defenders like Rein, damage nerf Zarya, Winston, Orisa, etc.
You were lucky to win as Hog. Doing so relies solely on the other team not having Mei, Reaper & Ana.
And still that game I changed not to have bigger DPS, I went to stop that Doom and make pressure into the tanks. And it worked in the end that Doom changed to Reaper but we still won.
Brief? Zarya’s bubble shield was never affected by the shield nerfs Rein, Orisa, Winston & Sigma got. Same goes for DVA’s Defense Matrix, which cant break. Those abilities would have to be removed for DVA & Zarya to be Bruisers.
Again, you were lucky that team didn’t have Mei, Reaper & Ana. Those 3 together stop Hog. DF doesn’t & Reaper alone would have trouble.
