You know he is the safest support to play ? With insane self sustain ?
I play LW daily and there is LITERALLY 0 CHANCE for dps to kill me alone on their own.
He has effectively 275 hp with dash, a petal that basically has very low downtime (once u play him, you know how to manage that petal easily since it lay on the floor forever.
A tree that basically can not die after EMP nerf. Unless you got wholehog, bastion, or Mauga guns. Its just better to retreat to wait out his tree since tree sustain is huge, provide covers, block LoS
And his grip ? Its the lowest risk ability to bail ur teammate from risky situation from a very safeplace yourself
He is extremely OP, you guys never notice how unkillable this guy is since he deal no dmg most of the time
Because people only think of him from there 1 sided PoV I use weaver to carry you use him to heal bot.
Your not thinking about how much this would damage his aggresive plays and play making potential.
You’d be forcing me and many others to play “Your” way while also at the same time making that playstyle mediocre so at that point why not just pick another hero? You’d make him extreamly 1 dimensional and boring with a playstyle that only fits a specific persons criteria.
a dash that doesn’t take you very far at all. there’s plenty of dps characters that can just ignore that like soldier or reaper.
you can still hit lifeweaver when he’s at the top of it actually, he’s too tall for the petals to protect him. just move back a bit and soldier can light him up.
his tree doesn’t die because no one focuses it. if people paid attention to the tree, it would die much faster.

after this latest series of nerfs, he’s not. i don’t like how ppl call everything in this game OP bc it makes it so much harder to actually address what is OP and what isn’t.
LW is good, sure. he has impactful abilities.
but he’s not overpowered, much less “extremely so”
