What is this Ashe portrait?

I was playing a casual match on PC, in the normal server (Not in the PRT one) and I saw this when I got killed, in the killcam:

Is this a new portrait feature or something like that? Maybe just a bug? It looks like an artwork.

I really don’t know… Maybe they used to have it for testing? Here’s the full image of the portrait though: (I think)

I think Hammond had/has similiar on with Owl skins equipped, I think that Ashe is wearing one

That looks like concept art, I remember one of the main artists saying that they wanted to give her more volume to her hair but due to the graphical restraints they decided on her one in game now.

Honestly, I think the drawn art used for the kill feed and stuff looks much better than the renders they use for character selects and the HUD elements. I won’t be surprised if the only reason they don’t use the nice 2D art is that they don’t want to go through the hassle of doing it for every single skin.

I do think i’ve seen a similar glitch with Bastion way back when… could be that using certain skins forces unused game files to switch in randomly… which is a sign of bad coding in my opinion, if such a thing can randomly find it’s way back into forefront of the gui.

I think it is a bug, it is probably the portrait that Ashe had during her development and her testing phase. For some reason it can appear during the current version of the game.

That is actually her OTHER concept art that she has where her hair is longer so it must be a glitch. It isn’t her current concept art.

Also, tbh, if you look at the pic she currently has now in game, it isn’t like everyone else’s. It’s a random art that I cannot find. If you look at everyone else’s pic, it’s literally their art from concept, but not hers…So this actually would fit more?

So my question is…what is the concept art of her in game now? I cannot find it anywhere and it looks like they just threw it in for a placement holder.
