Yo Devs, can we get some statistics on this? I really wanna know.

Rare Skins

Noire Widowmaker isn’t “rare” imo. A lot of people preordered this game, thus a lot of people own the skin. I would say her Kerrigan skin is rarer than Noire. I don’t think we see a lot of Widowmaker players using Noire because A. It’s hideous, and B. A lot of people have probably stopped playing since then.

Pink Mercy was for a good cause. It’s definitely rare but it’s not the rarest. Keep in mind that Mercy is one of the most popular heroes in the game, so a lot of people probably bought the skin when it came out. A great looking skin for a very popular hero that’s all for a good cause? A pretty good deal.

Blizzcon 2016 Bastion is absolutely a rare skin. No one talks about this skin when it comes to discussions like this one. This skin is absolutely a candidate for the rarest skin, but keep in mind that this skin was released in the game’s prime. A lot of people probably got this skin, we just don’t see it anymore because… well, Bastion is a terrible hero and a lot of people have stopped playing since then. This all goes for Blizzcon 2017 Winston as well, only Winston isn’t bad… It’s just in general a rare skin for most of the reasons stated.

Another collection of skins I wanted to talk about were the Overwatch League Gray skins. I own one for Soldier: 76 and Moira, but that’s it. Acquiring these skins were um… very complicated. You had to donate bits to the OWL Twitch channel back when OWL was on Twitch… so these skins are probably very rare as well. youtube OMEGALUL

Do y’all think Tyrande Symmetra and Illidan Genji are rare? They were released during the game’s “dead” phase, and both Symmetra and Genji have very specific fanbases… and how many of them are actually fans of Warcraft? How many of them would pay that much just to get a skin? How many of them just watched Blizzcon on a Russian streaming service instead? guilty.

The All-Stars skins were released for really popular heroes, and they’re overall really fantastic looking skins so I don’t think they’re that rare.

What is the rarest, IMO?

IMO, it’s Goat Brigitte. A lot of people were mad when Brig got this skin and didn’t buy it out of protest or some petty nonsense like that. I know the skin isn’t the oldest on this list, but it’s probably the rarest due to the background and the inappropriate timing of its release.

2017 Blizzcon Winston.

I’ve played this game for maybe 2500 hours and I’ve only seen that skin about 20 times within my time playing

Me too. Although I have equipped it. I still like it tho. A little… Idk. The color of her head reminds me of the dark parts from fish I don’t like to eat… :see_no_evil:

And I think its either Noire Widow or the more expensive OWL grey skins.

Maaaaaybe Goats Brig and SF doomfist have a chance since it was in the period we didnt get OWL tokens irrc.
I would not bet on Blizzcon skins since even players who do not play OW have those skins.

I’ve only seen the Fire Genji and Water Tracer skins a few times. I assume all the paid OWL legendaries will become scarce like that, though I still see Atlantic Mercy all the time. The Blizzcon Winston and Bastion skins seem like the rarest to me.

I’ve been playing since release and i can probably count on 1 hand the number of times i saw either that Bastion or Winston skin from Blizzcon equipped in game

Personally I feel some of the higher tier overwatch league grey skins (dva and genji) are the most rare because you have to spend around 20 something dollars in bits to get them. And unless you were a hardcore owl fan I don’t see many people getting it.
That or the blizzcon skins

GOAT Brigitte was genius. Fun way to commemorate one of the worst comps and least entertaining periods of OWL. I’m glad it’s in my collection. :man_shrugging:t2:

I just wonder: What is exactly Overwatch’s ‘dead’ phase? I havent played for over a year because of pc problems…so I don’t know what date is considered as dead phase and…have it actually ended? Oo

2016 Blizz-Con Bastion is the rarest of all time. Other BlizzCon skins and Pink Mercy are pretty rare too.

Noire Widow Skin also both Blizzcon 2016 and 2017 Skin which was for Bastion and Winston.
