If I’m just going to get matches with people a rank below me? what is the point of working hard to climb to 2800 if I’m just gonna get a 2300 Ana? I don’t understand it…

Happens in most ranks - And there’s not a huge difference between gold / plat IMO

So then whats the purpose of splitting the ranks at all since theres no difference between a 2800 player and a 2300 one…

Let me rephrase. If theres little to no difference between a 2800 player and a 2300 player why separate the ranks in the first place.

there is no point to ranking up, it’s just a measuring tool.
you’ll just automatically start ranking up the better you get.

so you see there’s no point in sweating over imaginary numbers because they don’t mean anything, they will still pull you into mismatches and your team is not gonna become magically wonderful after you reach a certain number anyways.

you will not be matched with someone 500 sr lower than you unless that someone is grouped with people who are above your sr. the average of your teammates sr is still going to be around the same as your own.
its just the way the system works to allow friends to play together even if they are not at the same rank.
