What is the point of playing comp on Console?

Hey,

So due the amount of nerfs, “bye double shields”, no comms used on console now as game chat is bugged… it has become virtually impossible to actually win a comp game now.

I’m a decent player and not a ‘grand master’ player but I know how to play the game.

Why is it that no one joins comms anymore? It’s becoming extremely rare to actually find players now who use comms. For instance, one game, received barely minimal healing to none at all and spam I need healing voiceline as I needed. What ended up happening? Getting a message saying I was trash…

Who ends up getting punished in this situation? Me…

I do enjoy playing the game but it’s becoming one of those what do I do now points? Most friends have moved to PC or stopped playing due to nerfs, bad comms and the overall negative impact.

Side point - I honestly didn’t mind having a shield tank on the team and now its rare to have one… plus being in game chat.

Currently watching a stream of Overwatch on PC and comms are much better on there than console…

Any suggestions or advice?

Thats just how it is. Once you get more towards mid diamond, more people are in comms a little more often. But in plat and gold, youre lucky to get some communication 1 out of ever 5 games.

True… Miss diamond ranked games… End up losing most games as the game chat on xbox one is buggy and people don’t join…

You console or pc?

What is the point of playing comp without a full premade team? Forum drama?

The team is ok with the hero selection… Think your missing the point. No forum drama, console lack of comms as players don’t join it results in losses majority of the time.

Keep in mind, have good sense however, relying on others to hear information you say is required. I see from streamers on PC comms are much more better and exist there more.
