Control (only because its technically an old game). It’s pretty cool to see well done first generation RTX done well.

Its this weird mash between silent hill, prop hunt, and the roguelike genre - i wouldnt say I recommend it, but it was at least for me worth playing to the ending
Arknights, though it’s not as niche as it used to be in the West.

Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark.
Fun class-based strategy game with easy modding capabilities. Pretty much just have positive things to say, and am looking forward to whatever those devs do next.

Archon. A chess game.
Spy vs Spy. A PvP game.
Heroes IV with Equilibris community patch.
Great game, powerful soundtrack and visuals, plus I can work out between rounds.

Cave Story is probably my favorite game ever, and its slightly niche. It was a little more popular back then, but it’s tapered off with a small dedicated community.
Return. is also an interesting treat; a strange, free, 2D platformer. I really enjoy peculiar games like that.
Oh, coming back to say Nihilumbra is such a fantastic puzzle platformer! The only game to date I’ve 100%ed all achievements on Steam.
Dunno if is niche but I played a lot Subnautica and Subnautica below zero.

niche?.. probably Rimworld? Which is a slightly more player friendly version of Dwarf Fortress.

No, my immediate family’s never been into it and our area isn’t really that good for it. Though the game has gotten me interested in trying.
I have family who do and live in better areas for it though so i might ask when i visit.
the most important thing to remember when hunting is patience
Like, its interesting for 5 minutes when you see the animal and shoot, other than that you are either sitting or standing in the cold and wet forest/plains waiting
