I see tanks gettin a ton in the scoreboard, mei too, healers not so much. so how it works?
The damage they mitigated.
If the hero only mitigates damage by a certain percentage, it will only count damage mitigated by that certain percentage.
Either way, all of this won’t matter if an Ana nanoboosts a de-meching D.Va.
The real answer is what a shield blocks. Or a temp health increase, decreases. Hampster shield, Brig ult.
Or in Mei’s case, her wall. Reflect is mit too, as well as some other little things on dps.
Mitigate means to minimize the intake of something. In this case it’s Damage. It means you minimized or negated a certain amount of damage from being done by another. Usually in the form of shielding or Dva DM. It’s also why Mei gets it as her ice wall acts as a shield. So if someone gets mitigation it’s because they stopped that amount of damage from being pumped into your rear end.
The real question is how does Reinhardt get healing? The other day I was looking at my Rein stats (I’m a Rein main) and I had 15 healing done…like wtf? How does that happen?
Damage mitigated - Damage that is absorbed by a shield (for example Reinhardt), ability (for example DM, Mei Wall), or dealt to overhealth (for example Junker Queen’s Commanding shout)
Hope that help.
And healers have no way to absorb damage, since all they do not exist here, but supports have.
Healthpacks are considered healing…
technically any hero can get healing.
Also, there is a qwuestion of switching… If they played half the game on hog, then they will have healing from vape
Given that I can scoop up the mitigation weekly challenge in two or three games of QP as Sigma, I’d say it’s damage negated through barriers/bubbles and DM effects. I also get a bit as Bap or Ana, so I imagine damage mitigated through abilities like Nano and Fortify count, as well as would-be lethal damage to IF’d folks.
Nano boost baby dva all the time. Makes genji mad and toxic ![]()
Only when Sombra hacks them IIRC. Health packs are not intended to count towards your healing total.
I am 99% sure that they are considered to Sombra healing when hacked and to whoever picked them when not.
They do not grant ultcharge also.
I’d have to test this.
I’m fairly certain you are correct, though I don’t believe health packs give any benefit to your healing stat for any character other than Sombra.
Though I would also have to test it to be sure. Regardless, I am fairly certain Rein shouldn’t be able to heal outside of weird glitches. Maybe Marblr has a video discussing it already? ![]()
Ok, I just checked in training room.
You are right you do not get healing stat for picking up a heath pack.
I was wrong on this I am sorry…
So I guess the only explanation outside of bug is they were playing hog and switched to rein.
Edit: wait, you don’t get any stats in training room ![]()
Custom game it is
Edit2: Got same results in skirmish… So It was either a bug or they played hog before.
Na, don’t sweat it dude. Honestly it’s a bit of a confusing situation anyways sense what they described is just a weird situation to begin with lol. Even if they played Hog it would mean they used E when only missing 15 health then swapped which would be a bit odd too!
Whoops, I didn’t realize that either lol
Yeah, it is weird. But On skirmish you get stats and still zero healing from healthpacks.
So a bug or hog before Rein.
I give up then.
The other scenario I thought of would be hog low health, hit E and right as it starts he is hit by an antinade then swap?
Otherwise, I’m with you and at a loss other than it being a bug.
I just want to highlight how this first reply was the least helpful thing ever lol
I’d like to highlight how dishonest this comment on that reply is, since it just quoted one sentence, after which it was explained in more detail.

He never explains what constitutes mitigation other than 1 instance.
The big obvious answer is shields, defense matrix, and overhealth.
There’s a reason why the 2nd reply has more likes. You quoting the whole thing makes it even more obvious how bad the comment was.

Likes != how good reply is…
But ok…
And it explains it in good fashion to me…
