You cant really dive him and he also has really good mid range damage. How would you counter a mcree? With another mcree? Im genuinely curious, he is in every game.

Widow, Ashe, he’s slow and extremely vulnerable when his long cool downs begin.
He’s easy to Zone or bully with a mobile tank

I see, I do like playing soldier but he always manages to outshoot me. I dont like playing ashe or widow i find them extremely boring.
Be better than the person playing him. That may be a hard pill to swallow for some people who like heroes being more direct counters to other heroes, but it’s mostly just skill matchups. People hate that he makes it fair, when they’re used to heroes countering other heroes.

Drop the biofield before you take the duel, do adad crouch spam, and for the love of all thing holy, remove your space bar if you have to. Do not jump in a DPS duel.
Oh and gauge the distance to max out your range against him: avoid mid -close range like you would avoid a hog.

His damage is only medium range, he is not good in and against spam comps because of that

I’m mainly a Junkrat player, dude. and I see no problem with him. If I get my combo or hit my shots, I win. If I don’t, I lose. Fair is fair.

You’d have a good leg to stand on if flashbang fan the hammer didn’t exist. Its possible to outshoot a McCree at mid range or longer.
This is where you can fight McCree with literally any character in the game with range like Pharah, Zenyatta, etc. as its all comes down to who has the better time to kill and aim. As it is hitscan projectile is weaker mid range, but when McCree starts to have all off damage projectile starts to win out a bit more for higher damage.
At close range, McCree suddenly has all the advantage because flash bang and fan the hammer is an incredibly easy to use combo and a much harder to outplay.
What most people dont’ realize is that many high skill heroes often have some really easy cheese as well. Genji can simply rely upon alt fire strat and doing stuff in the air and half of the projectile characters can’t hit him because his aiming style is far easier to hit with and aiming a target in the air with projectile is harder.
