Every game, absolutely every game is full of smurfs. Even damn QP.
It’s an unbearable mess and ruins the fun for everyone. It just renders each aspect of Overwatch to naught.

It’s at least partially because decay was removed. Players above diamond have no incentive to queue the game at their own rank, so the population has dwindled at those ranks and the game quality has decreased dramatically. Everyone goes to play on smurfs because the quality of games in masters/GM is too bad right now and nobody wants to risk the SR since they don’t have to.
I know quite a few people in higher ranks who are queuing on smurfs solely because their queue times have been 40+ minutes long for each game.

Just played on a smurf at 3k2 as tank, played only Dva and Hog, no regrets, at least I can still enjoy Dva at this elo and people don’t flame me every game.

I know of a key/licence generator that is floating about in the real-darkweb if you change your hareware id and vpn yourself you can have unlimited accounts with it…that could be one reason but it dose come at a pretty penny and not given out to just anyone with money. But its there.
Who knows also they did have a50% sale not to long ago in bnet so that too
