Just curious what people consider a whale. Personly i think if you spend more then 200 dollars a season to be considered a whale

Whales are a widely distributed and diverse group of fully aquatic placental marine mammals. As an informal and colloquial grouping, they correspond to large members of the infraorder Cetacea, i.e. all cetaceans apart from dolphins and porpoises. Itâs kinda hard to âWhaleâ in this game cause Iâm pretty sure you hit a barrier of whats available per season and you cross over with what you already have.
So I m guess âwhalingâ would just be buying like absolutely every new thing?
Tho tbh Iâd say nothing in overwatch could get to like the âTrueâ definition of âwhalingâ youâd need geshin impact and raid shadow legends level of content and ptw content.

Normally it would be people willing to spend giant sums of moneyâŚ.but you donât see them offering things for absurd amounts of money (like $100 plus which you do see in some other games)
Nah theyre just going after everybody with how the game was monetizedâŚitâs no longer about specifically targeting people with money

Frankly, anything above $50/mo is whaling in my book.
Upwards of $1k/mo is lifeless garbage. They arenât even playing the game. lol
Whales are people who buy everything and anything. So any skin in the shop and most likely all BP levels on day 1.
Not âcontroversialâ, just plain wrong. Whale is an industry term and not a slur that is thrown around. Just because some people devalue the term because they want to be toxic towards people who buy a skin every now and then, does not mean that they are right.
This is pretty much as close as it gets.

I think it is more subjective and not a fixed dollar amount, this game i would view a whale as someone you buys the bp and all lvls day 1 and most if not all skins whether they use hero or not, if your not close to that then i wouldnât consider you a whaleâŚ
