What is a good weapon accuracy for Junkrat?

I finish my games at around 25%-30% WA, I don’t really know if that’s above or below the average. Any ideas what the ideal accuracy is?

Junkrat is one of those heroes where accuracy stats don’t tend to mean much, most heroes in the game only need to fire when an enemy is directly in front of them. It’s the same with the damage dealt stat for junkrat, if your role for a certain game is shield breaking, your damage dealt stat will be significantly lower than if you were not facing many shields. Area denying streams of nades will bring down your accuracy dramatically as will tank/ shield light enemy comps. As a general rule you should be able feel your impact in a game if you’re doing well on a hero.

Accuracy is probably the last thing you should care about as Junkrat.

Accuracy isn’t that important in team fights, but in 1v1s I try to aim carefully

Accuracy is irrelevant. You should be shooting nades 24/7 regardless of if you think they’ll hit something or not.

Junkrat’s accuracy really doesn’t matter since his specific projectile type is notoriously difficult to direct hit on a squishy without bouncing.

According to Overbuff, 25% is average, and 27-30% is incredibly accurate.

At least 1%

It’s hard to say.

There are high tier JRs who are scary accurate (can take Pharahs out of the air with primary fire) but their stats can be muddied by some of the ‘spam’.

i end up with 60 percent when i play the junkrat some times and 20 at other end coz he has different playstyles so ideal accuracy really depends on where how and when u play example when i play him on hanumura easy 50% WA coz of choke points and fact i kinda fight wth flanks and close range

Yeah and low accuracy can just mean you’re throwing out more nades. You might be missing a ton of shots, but you’re also firing a ton meaning you’re more likely to get more damage. I find that I do much better as Ashe when I’m trying to get more shots, I have way less accuracy, but my damage is usually higher because I’m not worried about just focusing on the shots I’m more likely to hit.

Sure, but unless you’re saying that you have 25-30% accuracy in 1v1 only nobody can really give you any accurate judgement. Most of overwatch’s gameplay surrounds team fights though so it wouldn’t be something I’d overtly worry about.

About 3% is what you should aim for.

i think i’m at around 22% accuracy with junk…but i do tend to spam less grenades and focus on my trap/mine hits to get opponents out of position for my teammates, and lets be real ppl only go junk when there is a barrier and turret/bastion situation in which case increased accuracy is a given because you’re aiming at stationary/huge targets. I still think junk can get rid of a shield pretty quick just other heroes can do that faster and better.

EDITED TO SHOW CORRECT ACCURACY.

I would ignore accuracy.

You could be up againts a team of tanks, and then up against a team of snipers and mobility hero’s.

Your skill hasn’t changed but you will have a huge accuracy difference.

Are you winning games by playing Junkrat? Is the only question you need to ask.

If anything low accuracy is better. You miss 100% of the shots you dont take. Heck you should see pro Genji players accuracy. It’s so low just cause they never stop spammimg just incase they get a lucky pick.

In the words of J OmegaLUL K E himself, just hold m1 and never let go.

mine is an average of 50+ percent because i prefer to use traps and concussion grenades

Damage per 10 is a better indicator as well as self criticism knowing whether or not your are hitting you shots in those 1v1 battles or when the targets are close
Ugh 2 years later how’d I get here damn you whoever brought this back

Accuracy doesn’t matter on Junkrat

You just want to always be aiming the spam towards them when they’re pushing and maybe go for a pick when they engage

EDIT: Just realized I replied to my own thread -__-
