If yes ain’t that mean that there is just a year left before a world total nukelear anihalition, and Fallout lore is about to take place ?
Since the beginning, the devs have stated that Overwatch is set “60 years in the future”. It’s likely that “60” is a rough number, but when writing out timelines, rough numbers aren’t nice, so people take it as a literal 60 years - counting from the game’s release date in 2016, that gives us 2076.
What further supports this are some of the dates we’re given - some sources mention days of the week or full moons, and those seem to match up with the calendar for 2076. For example, in Mei’s Journal, her October 31 entry mentions spending the weekend in LA - October 31, 2076 is a Saturday, so it fits. I feel like 2076 is the year the writers have in mind as the current year of Overwatch.
Also there’s no reason for Fallout lore to affect Overwatch lore. They are separate IPs by separate companies.
And yet that would make quite a crossover…

I admire anyone who attempts to piece together the timeline; it’s very complicated. It’s something I give up trying to understand besides the general timeline of Archive events/shorts.

Currently the year in Overwatch’s universe is 2076. Not sure what the month or day is though.
