Just for fun, what is the reason for your battle tag? Why did you pick it? What inspired it if anything. Go ahead and tell the origins of your battle tag in the replies.
My reason for my battle tag is as followed:
I originally was named Shadow, but after seeing one too many of those on the game and forums, I started thinking about switching it to something new.
My girlfriend and I where joking about comics we where looking at where Reaper trades places with Mercy basically, as well as other characters. You know the old
Mercy in Reaper Costume: “What happened to you?”
Reaper in a Mercy Costume: “You tell me doc.”
So I was like “That would actually be kind of funny in game to see it saying Play of the Game, Reaper as Mercy or just Play of the Game, Reaper as Reaper.” so my battle tag is basically a joke. Cheesy, yes? Funny? To me and some, but not all. XD
A song titled “Hawkshaw” by Truckfighters. I really liked the song so I decided to change my battle tag to this. I originally heard the song when I was playing MLB The Show 18
I don’t care. I would expect that to be common, like I said. It is a joke and it is the name of one of the actual characters. Thus it should be expected to be more common then other tags. XD
As someone who loves inline skating and electronic music, I loved Lucio as soon as I saw him. Also, my gamertag is inspired by a song from jet set radio which is also inspired by the inline skating thing.
I inline skate as well actually, so that is pretty cool. It is pretty fun once you get past the growing pains of getting your feet use to that motion and having skates on. It can kill your feet at first, but eventually you get use to it and it becomes as easy as walking.
My nickname is a combination of a couple of things.
Usually I named myself Zack or Zackx honoring Zack from Final Fantasy VII.
My first online MMO I ever played was in the year 2007. And in my first guild ever I got nicknamed Tsaku instead of Zack(x) from some friends in the guild.
So I just used my first nickname ever given to me and the 007 from the year i played my first MMO which is also the initial release date of Crisis Core.
Originally I had the name “Captain” on Discord.
I was in a ROBLOX dev server and a joke started where people would name themselves Captains, like “Captain Idiot” or “Captain Snowman” (Devs were making a pirate game).
Someone typed “Captain Captain when” and that’s how I got my new name, started using it on other games.
I’m doing my MA in literature and I’m particularly fond of Franz Kafka and the study of Spectralities. I realise in hindsight that it just sounds edgy. . . so I might change it.
Main? A few months prior to when I started playing Overwatch, I started suffering of depression. Thankfully I am no longer depressed, but during that time of my life, I basically changed my tag on most of the game related platforms I used to “Mistake”, because I also felt like life is a mistake.
I just stick with the last statement whenever someone says something about my tag when I play on my main nowadays.
Well, I hope you are doing okay now. Depression sucks, I use to also suffer pretty badly from it until I stopped feeling sorry for myself and embarrassed all the things people use to like bullying me for.
Because yeah I am a weirdo and can be an odd-ball, but at least I am not a sorry excuse for a human being bullying people who did nothing to me. XD
