What if you had to earn ress?

What if you have no cooldown for ress, but you have to achieve it in order to use it?
So the more the skill the more you ress (with limits obviously).
It would be just to make her more fun and I think this would do a good job!

EeveeA has had this idea for ages but the Blizz team said it wasn’t a good idea. Instead their great idea was to instead make Valk a complete garbage ult and show everyone what they do to characters that they overbuff and don’t care about.

You’re basically describing an ult that you charge and they said they would’nt bring back resurrect like this so… nope :confused:

Edit: anyway i didn’t imagine it with a percentage, but with some mechanical thing that allows you to unlock the ress if you do it right

I still think they should have made it so Mercy could earn rez-charges in Valkyrie, but only one at a time. Mercy would have to pop Valk preventively to build up the rez charge through healing/boosting (if one or more player is down it would mean less healing/damage boosted, resulting in less charge gained). Mercy could then rez one when enough charge is saved, but then she would have to start from scratch again (meaning, double rezzes would be impossible).

Rez would be either instant or with a shorter cast time, but rez would be removed from her base kit in favor of another ability.

And the mechanic would be either using M1 or M2…

Everytime someone dies she gains a stack of sadness. After three stacks of sadness she enters the “remorse” state. In this state she sounds depressed and has a sad face.

After someone else dies in her remorse state she says a voice line
“Not again”

Then she gains a stack of resurrect and when it’s used she says “Let’s forget about that shall we”

(Its just a joke but i thought it was funny xD)

I have been vague because i dont know what exactly could be. But i talk about in game mechanic.
Silly example just to explain the way i imagine it: you do 3 assists in a short period of time, or 10 assists in total and you unlock the ress. Or some kind of in game combo maybe similar to how you get on fire or something. Don’t look at the numbers it was just to show my perspective.
